Got the Old girl up and running.
Ordered a spare fuel line, I'm sure the ethanol will ruin this one in short order. Come to think of it, I need to find eth.free gas just for the 2-strokes.

Here's a shot of the old and new fuelline

Gas station near me in K'Ville has 93 with no ethanol. Also has regular 87. I use the 93 in my yard tools. Costs a crap load less than the "lawn mower gas" or the "2 stroke fuel" that Lowes sells. That crap is about $20 a gallon.

Yep, those cans that Lowes and HD sell are expensive as crap for what youre actually getting.
But people buy it all the time so they dont have to mix gas and oil lol suckers.

Don't think I've ever seen ape hangers on a Valkyre

Yeah you don't see that alot, but it actually handles pretty good so far with the apes.

HMP, no for sale sign, she's a keeper. Correct, a 6cy, matching exhaust on other side.
Made the exhaust out of 5in truck stacks. you ought to see the 5in Lolipops I made to get a little back pressure instead of pulling and re-jetting 6 carbs.

Might as well add to this topic from the other thread...

Had a leak from between the block and the thermostat housing. Changed the thermostat tonight.

Also changed the PCV and air filter.

Warning: very technical discussion to follow...proceed with caution

I changed 5 windshield wipers this morning.

Got an email from NAPA for $8 off a pair of Bosch Evolution wipers. Checking online, it was a basic $4/per wiper discount. They had them for $21.99, marked down to $17.99. Stopped at the store, and they were $17.99 on sale for $13.99. Bought the two for mine, and two for hers, plus the oddball rear wiper (had to use a NAPA one for that).

New carrier bearings in my SD. There was a low rumble noise that had gotten louder over the last few months. I traced it down to the rear and specifically the right rear axle tube where it meets the center section. Pulled it down and sure enough the right carrier bearing was pitted. Must have rusted while the truck sat so long and then pitted out. Unusual to have a bad bearing at 48K but this truck sat for over a year several times.

Anyway, new carrier bearings in the driveway garage and she's all better.

Again Lawless...You shouldn't have to deal with this. PM me and I'll come take that SD off your hands...Lol.
(Thumbs up)

Ordered factory style F350 4" blocks for the rear of my truck to replace the 2" F250 blocks. Also ordered a 2.8" front leveling kit. Gonna order my 35" tires soon. The SD gonna look a little more awesome.

Just finished replacing the water pump and fan clutch on my son's (formerly mine) TJ. Two weeks ago, it was the thermostat. Thermostat was stuck. Then the water pump started leaking past the pump shaft. I figured it was from mud throwing the fan out of balance thus wearing out the pump shaft bushing. So I replaced the pump and decided to go ahead and replace the fan clutch while I was at it.

In the slightly modified famous words from Commander Mike "Viper" Metcalf in the movie Top Gun: "Well I guess that'll just about do it for the mud runs."

I cleaned it up today and painted some faded plastic here and there with plastic paint (what else...) and some pics will be coming soon.

It currently has 265/75-16s (about a 31" tire)

Now to decide if I want 285/75-16s or 315/75-16s (like were on my last SD)...

33s or 35s...

For a newbie truck owner, is that a body lift? Or suspension?

Suspension. The F250s come with a 2" block on the rear spring, F350s come with a 4" block. I swapped mine to a 4" F350 block in the rear.

On the front, I used a leveling kit that uses a 2" mini spring pack that you add to the factory leaf spring.

Gotcha. Thanks for the explanation!

I replaced an old style iginition system with a HEI unit in a 1971 Olds Cutlass convertable and modifed the original air cleaner to fit around it. It really woke that 350 rocket up. Screw points ignition they suck. Customer is happy and I got paid so good day for me. I get to rewire a 1946 GMC pickup on tuesday that has had a ls swap done to it and corvette independent suspension added. I think I am falling in love with it though.

So far I have replaced the blades on my SCAG Turf Tiger and greased it, and then helped a friend adjust the blades and cutting height on his SCAG walk-behind mower. Put a new ignition control module on my '83 F350 and after the engine cools I'll do the coil (am chasing down an ignition miss). Got to do some TIG welding either later today or tomorrow, and then reassemble the back end of the 400hp Kohler generator.

Also tried out a nice US Mfg welding positioner that I picked up for a good deal recently.

At least the welding shop and wood shop have air conditioning!

Stared a lot at the project bike.
Planned. Sketched ideas. Jotted down ideas and things to look into.

Movin flat sucks azz... I told my Wife, I don't care how miserable she is , I'm never moving again, I'm dying here.

I sat in my garage in a lawn chair for hours today while folks looked at my house for sale. I was contemplating that very thing.
