What did you do in the reloading room today?

I totally refurbed my el cheapo tumbler chamber with a new 4" plug, new plastidip, and some antiseize on the test plug bolt. Then I threw about 350-400 9mm cases in it and tested it

Works pretty darn well. Nice to have clean brass again

How is the other end capped, and do you have anything inside for agitation?

Boiling lube off so I can powder coat. After the steel match Saturday I remembered why Idont shoot cast at matches. I had to dig into my reserves to make some minor PC ammo
I almost commented on the video, didn't connect the dots.

Spent the day organizing loaded ammo and components. Decided that the lead has to go for now (~800lbs).

BTW, the shelves don’t match, that’s how I know I don’t have OCD.

I was going to say that you were my new hero, but then you mentioned the shelves. Soooo close.

But then you mention the M&Ms....

My Hero!!!

In my quest to use up some partial bottles of powder I loaded up about 300 rounds of .40 using 165gr bayou coated lead and Bullseye powder. About 4.5 gr makes a nice shooting and very accurate load out of my CZ P-09. Did this with the help of my reloading assistant. The only piece of furniture in the house she is allowed on is an old spare bed in the reloading room. Every time I go up there she is always right behind me.

2 days ago loaded another 682 9mm.

Yesterday 83 30-30 plinkers for my brother. Tired of seeing the primed cases on my bench so I finished them just to get them out of the way.

Ok, so I have started the long process of converting 5.56 to 300BLK. I have about 1000 pieces of brass I ended up with after sorting out the head stamps that were not suggested to use. So far have about 100 ready for loading. I hope to do that this weekend to be sure everything is setup correctly before I start the rest of the batch.

How did you form the cases? Annealing or no? What dieset are you using? I am about to jump into this with both feet. Already got the squirrel daddy chop saw guide and HFT chop saw, and a bunch of 5.56 blank brass.
I really don't want to have to anneal but I'm sure it will make everything much better.

Anyhow what I did yesterday was test fit my brand new RCBS sizing dies in my Lyman 450. I forgot to get top punches though :/

Plan on treating the 300BLK like my 5.56, no annealing. I figure it is range pick up so I didn't pay anything so if the case neck cracks, I throw it in the scrap bucket. Now I may have to change my way of thinking if they all start breaking after the first use but I don't think they will. I also must say I only target shoot for the fun, no competitions.
As far as dieset, I have used Lee dies for everything else so I got a set for them. What I am waiting on is there isn't a powder die for the 300 and I don't fell like hand loading that many cases with powder. Someone posted a .30 (carbine) THIS IS WRONG, I PUT THE WRONG THING. SHOULD BE 30 LUGER works okay and that hopefully will be here today or tomorrow so I can try it.

Have you found the list of the brass they suggest use and not use? That was darn near 2 hours of sorting first. If you don't have it let me know.

I haven't loaded any yet but I formed a couple hundred without annealing. If I build a machine I probably will otherwise trash it when it fails. I haven't ever seen a Blackout group good enough to care about the fractional gains it may provide in accuracy.

Using Lee dies, hope they're working.

FYI if that HF saw doesn't cut brass like butter get a new blade. Mine came with one took minutes to cut stalled the saw, built heat like crazy, and generally ticked me off.

Yeah I was gonna get a good blade from Lowe’s for it and also cut a few thousandths long so I can use the case gauge trimmer setup for the final cut. I have heard that Lee dies shouldn’t be used to reform blackout, I think it’s even in the instructions but let me know how it works before I get some

Last night I worked up two sets of test loads in 30-30, using Hornady 150 RN bullets with 3031 and LVR powders.

Yeah I need that list, but I can guess which ones suck. GFL/Fiocchi/Perfecta and Tulammo can't drill a centered flash hole if their lives depended on it.

I started out loading rifle rounds, in 223, and my experience was that Perfecta in .223 was crap. Not long ago I started .308. Interestingly, I found nothing to complain about with their .308.

I sent the link to you. Not sure how others feel about linking to another forum. If it is okay with the mods I will post so others can see it one day.

If I were you I would just shameless plagiarize that list and make a separate post about it, maybe use the linky button to reference where it came from. That neck thickness info is priceless IMO.

Hadn't read that, which certainly doesn't mean it doesn't say it I probably didn't read them. No sights on the gun but I could roll a dummy this weekend and make sure it chambers if that'll help.

Whatever 3D printed jig I have leaves the cut way long, will mod to trim less.

Sized, hand primed, flared, and then loaded 79 rounds of 45 Colt. Would have done more, but ran outta bullets.

Wet tumbled 1500 rounds of 9mm range pick-ups, (Btw, if you don't want to mix .380 ACP in with your 9mm, don't pick up any spent cases that may be close to the target. Seems all the .380 peeps are up close and personal to the target, even the steel. Just sayin' :p).

Loaded for the first time in 2 months. 20 test rounds for my match pistol a heavily modified Glock 17. 124gr coated RN over 6.2gr of HS6 using S&B primers. Should be just fine.

I have to order a new primer feeder for my loadmaster. Been having feeding problems, primers getting stuck and the priming pusher thingy gets stuck in the up position. The plastic there is messed up. Lucky Midway has the part I need on sale :)

Loaded 155rd of 308 for my FALs...1lb 4320 @43.5gr, LC brass, WLR, HDY 150gr FMJ.
