What did you do in the reloading room today?

500 of these fellows.

Deprimed and wet tumbled 2000 9mm cases. I also went through 5000 9mm cases, picking out the stepped cases, 380 cases, and NATO cases.

Not in reloading room, but for the casting table. Sorted, melted and poured ingots. Only had about three gallons of wheel weights and o!d bullets.
The two real big ingots in shadow are pure soft lead. Stick on weights and plumbers lead.
Did not weight things, but two trips to storage. Guessing close to 90 pounds.

I've been rather busy getting some of the big bore ammo on the shelf.

For the Lighter loads we have a great variety of things for different missions, all the the same or very close to the same POI at 50 yards............. Here are some 265 Copper Raptors that match up perfectly with the 250 Lehigh Extreme Penetrators. Both of these are just plainly put, WICKED. Both are doing 2900 fps out of the 18 inch gun...........

And I hear about folks being scared of "Compressed Loads"................ Not here, We Love Compressed loads.....................These are packed with 77/H-4198............ and very compressed........

What kinda downrange energy are you looking at? Say, 100 yards?

Honestly I don’t know, paper energy numbers is not something I keep up with or even list. I has enough at 200 yards to kill giant moose DRT in their tracks, and the base of the bullet pass through. It blows zebra, Wildebeest, oryx and other large animals in the dirt where they stand and still exits........ It dices internal organs like they have been in. A blender.

Finally got my RMR order from July.
1000 124gn 9mm FMJ
Not being able to do much range time in all of this has kept my stock on hand fine but I placed this order so I would have it when I needed it. I figured it would take a while but I guess they have been really busy. Great communication all along regarding there back orders and I knew what I was getting into when I ordered.

Dang, I knew they were far behind but not that behind. I ordered from them in Early September. Good thing I am not in need. Agreed that their communication/ updates have been very good.

Cooler weather so I cast and coated some 230gr .452 RNs.

So much slower than 9mm, mold overheats, pot runs down so fast it's hard to keep from freezing, tubs and trays hold half as much... More to do this morning I spose.

Me and my Brother have been loading .50 Beowulf today, and its been going well...

My Brother got a new powder scale/trickler device that is quite convenient, so its been going by quite quickly compared to what we were doing before ( individual throws with scoops)

I loaded up about a dozen rounds of 50 gr 25ACP using a Lee Loader (the type you use a mallet with) and 1.2 grains of Unique.

This was about 28 flakes of Unique per round . :)

(Thank you Surveyor!)

How did you measure that out? With a tweezer???

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ... 28, 29... oops, got to take one back. o_O

I ordered 2k 124gn 9mm in September as well. If i get them before the end of the year, I'll be impressed. Been using them for years, good people, no bs.

29 flakes .... gonna be a hot load!!!

I weighed each one. Since I was doing this with a Lee Loader, speed was not of the essence!

Sorted brass, put a load of .223 cases in the vibrating walnut media, and punched holes in the side of all my wheel weight buckets. They were full of water.

Reformed some 50AE cases into 429DE. Wet tumbled to get the lube off, then into the dehydrator to dry. Primed, charged, seated bullets, crimped. Headed to DPRC tomorrow morning to get the red dot sighted in.

From the trip to the range this morning, I cleaned guns and decapped some brass. Then I loaded 200 rounds of 9mm special for my 9mm AR. I did this will listening to the 2A Rally speakers on YouTube.

I shot only 22LR today but there was a bunch of different caliber brass on the ground. tumble them and resized the 308 and 223. Added a bunch 224 Valkyrie brass to the collection. The cleaned the guns,

Nothing today,..working.

But there is a good bit of once-fired LC 5.56 brass that I resized. While I’m at work, it’s getting primer pockets cleaned/swaged and sorted by headstamp....getting family involved speeds up the loading process.

While brass prep is tedious, they can sit there and do it while watching tv....like snapping/stringing beans...’cept different.

And I didn’t have to volunteer them to do it. They realize that by doing all that prep work, it helps me out a lot because all I have left to do is prime cases, drop powder and seat/crimp.

And FWIW, I recently picked up a Dillon SS 600 and, IMO, it’s the cat’s ass if you have a good quantity of brass to process.

My Brother and I loaded another 350 .45 acp today too!

Also, whomever I saw on here that showed rice being used as a tumble media, thanks, we now use that as the final touch before the ammo gets stowed away.... SO SHINY.

I loaded up another hunnert this evening while waiting for dinner to cool down enough to not burn the roof offa my mouth. Reloading never gets old. 😁

I walked by my presses in the garage. I thought about finally setting up my XL650 that Ive had for about 6mo. That’s about it lately.

Loaded up some 9mm this evening. Went by a local store today where they had plenty of 9mm. After seeing the price so glad I load my own ammo for the enjoyment as well as the savings. Love every minute.
