Was given this as a gift by someone that doesn't know me (work thing). I know nothing about this fluid. What's it good for? Do you drink it straight, or mix it with coke, or stick a rag in it and light it on fire at the next protest/riot?

Google tells me what it is, but not how people enjoy it.

Back when I drank whisky (my soul has been captured by the demon Gin of late), that was one of my favorites.

Minimize the adulterants and enjoy.

It's good whisky is what it is. If you don't like it, keep it for when we come over.

Hey, if you need to get rid of it...

In all seriousness, I remember trying Glenlivet for the first time, reading the "taste" section on the side of the bottle, and asking "where's the part about setting your throat on fire?"

The woman just got home from work and tried what was left in the glass. Her assessment: "that's awful".

I think I'll just leave it on the shelf for the more discerning visitors.

OK, whoa..... that's.... going to take some getting used to.

It burns!

It's WAY better than Makers Mark.
That stuff is nasty, at least to me.

If you don't like that Woodford Reserve, I can take it off your hands. :)

Now that you've opened it, it's gonna get worse as time goes on. Give it another try, you'll start to taste more than just fire before long. Maybe try another ice cube or a couple drops of water.

Chug it.
Slam it.
Mix it.
Whatever you do, just drink it.
It will cure what ails ya.

So it tastes like gasoline and isn't shelf stable??

Not only can you cook, you drink whiskey. I'm amazed men aren't beating down your door.

Can't believe so many people ruin the bourbon by sticking stuff like ice cubes in it.

No bueno.

OMG.

Is Jayne for real? Put me in line to take it if none of the other deals work out.

Yep, fraid so. 44 years old, never had any bourbon, or whiskey (or gin for that matter). Didn't have my first drink until I was 28, had my first beer at 36 (wife was trying to get me to like Belgian beers so I would want to go to Belgium). I'm a wine guy, but probably less than 6 bottles a year total at this point.

Alcohol is expensive, would rather waste that money on ammo.

That's funny... I had my last drink at 28. I abused the privilege so I've gone without as punishment. If it brings you no pleasure count your blessings and pass it along to someone who will enjoy it.

We've all been hanging out with the perfect woman. Our wives are going to be jealous.

I use to talk about wolfie to my wife. I had to stop she accused me of having a thing for her. Wolfie rides a Ducati, drinks wiskey, totes and owns several 1911s. Shes more bad ass than some men i know. Who ever she bags will be a lucky man.

Thanks! :)

How do you quote multiple posts??

For 1980s Kelly LeBrock, I would drink it.

1980's Kelly requires no such anesthesia. The current Kelly, however...

Why can't I have coworkers like that?! Damn.

Try mixing it with a little seltzer water. Woodford Reserve was my sipping bourbon until I discovered Makers 46.

And then I stumbled onto Rebecca Creek. This is some seriously smooth whiskey!

When you add ice watch for the clear line about 1/16' thick floating on top.

Thats when (new) drinkers should take a sip.

Guys like me it really does not matter when as long as I do. LOL

Target it with a Phosphorus round for fun.....record so we can share the moment.

Woodford is one of my go-to favorites when I cannot get my hands on High West. Enjoy!!!! I prefer one large block-type cube in mine. Pour Woodford in glass, place cube in glass, let sit for a couple of minutes, swirl, then enjoy!!! Repeat as often as you like.
