Pretty neat, but it I’ve seen a lot of knives that come with a windshield breaker and seatbelt cutter,it’d make more sense for me to carry one of those than a knife and that, I just don’t have much extra room to carry more stuff.
True enough. However, if you forget your knife you could still have this on your key chain. Hard to leave your house without your keys lol.

Sig P238 or CZ 75b
Extra mag or two
Spyderco Delica 4 with Emerson Wave. I highly recommend looking at that for your blade.
Fenix PD25 light

Get fat, or as I like to call it "tactical girth". Adds real estate to hang things.

I just got this knife for Christmas. It's super lightweight so it don't feel like you're carrying it. Very slightly more than $100.

Otherwise my EDC looks a lot like your edc. G43, spare mag in a Leatherman tool belt pouch, knife, light, car key fob with no keys, phone, slim cards only type wallet. Mace is kept in the car and gets swapped with the gun and knife as necessary to remain legal in non-permissive environments (an old habit from living in Illinois).

nicee, I used to pocket carry a 442-1 when I was at home as well. But i sold it because I’m not a very big fan of revolvers and it was kinda bulky in my pocket, so I bought a lcp and it’s so much more convenient to carry all the time and doesn’t print at all. are those shot shells I see by the way?
Yes, I reload both .38 SPL and .44 SPL shotshells for the copperheads and water moccasins around the house. Need to make some .41 Mag shotshells next time I'm home. These is my second 442. Had my first 91-06'.

Question, why carry 2 spare mags? Not trying to be rude just genuinely curious, I usually carry 1 spare mag or a spare gun like a lcp just incase of malfunction.
3 seems to be common for LEOs and when I OCed I used a duty belt that had a double mag pouch so hence 2 spares. Plus we have a saying in Germany "all good things come in threes!".

I wish I was able to carry that big of a gun on a daily basis, for me it’s always grip length that makes it print, a 26 is probably the biggest I can carry without printing, or a 19 in the winter when I wear more clothes/hoodies.

What kind of knife is that by the way?
I would not worry too much about printing, even when OCed a lot of folks didn't even notice.

I don’t worry too much but my job doesn’t allow me to carry by policy. so I’m just trying to be careful
That's a different story then, in that case I guess I would not carry. My job is the same and I don't.

Mauser HSc in .380, spare magazine ,two key rings, pocket knife, handkerchief, wallet. Just that weight is enough to keep me tugging my pants up all day.

It’s not illegal to carry at work so I do, worst that can happen is I get fired, I can always get another job but I can’t get another life.
Uhmn, if they have a policy then it's not legal for you to carry.

Do you know what statute you heard that from ? store policy is not the law, my jobs no firearm policy is only for employees anyways, customers are fine to carry, and it’s not a firearm free zone and I don’t work in a state or federal owned building. It’s 100% legal for me to carry, only thing they can do is fire me if they notice.
On any private premises where notice that carrying a concealed handgun is prohibited by the posting of a conspicuous notice or statement by the person in legal possession or control of the premises. § 14- 415.11(c)

Your company policy is that statement, while it does not apply to customers you probably had to sign and acknowledge it. Your employer can absolutely prohibit you from carrying at work by having that in the policy.

It’s not even in the employment contact, it said nothing about it, it was just something my manager said I missworded it when I said policy. Also i Never signed anything of the sorts .and there are no “ no firearm” signs posted at my job.

Even if I did it’s just an infraction. Not a real crime. The most they can do is ask me to leave( which I will if asked) and if I don’t I’ll get trespassed.

What they don’t know can’t hurt them.
Honestly I would be surprised if closer examination of your contract would not reveal that it refers to company policies being adhered to and "no guns" being buried somewhere in there. It's 2022 and I think you will be hard pressed to find any companies anymore that don't prohibit some obvious things (guns, booze, drugs, smoking). If you work at one of those, I congratulate you. You are however correct that NC downgraded the offense to an infraction so the penalty is mild.

I carry a G19 MOS w/ RMR, and 8-10 mags in a backpack on the passenger seat of the truck or Jeep. It also has NVGs and extra batteries, a good sheath knife, IFAK, and couple bags of jerky, 6 extra mags for the Hellcat on my belt, and a flashlight. On my person is my Hellcat and extra mag, a ZT knife, a pocket knife, wallet and phone. In the floorboard is a rifle case with my AR 9, suppressor and 10 32 rods of subsonic ammo. If I’m breathing, I’m carrying, period. I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM !

Rex Applegate Combat Folder

It's a folding knife that locks open at over 10 inches long. It was designed to be a large pocket knife that could open into a full sized dagger for hand to hand combat. I had one issued to me during my first tour in Iraq. I lost it, but I bought a replacement... It's one of my favorite pocket knives.

But, be warned, it's huge... But, I like big pocket knives. My second favorite giant folding knife is the Cold Steel Recon XL.

My “check before I leave the house” pat down is:

Ruger LCPII in a pocket holster
Spare mag in back left pocket
Leatherman on belt
Keys
Small pocket knife my daughter gave me
Wallet
Phone

Sig P365xl in iwb holster with weaponlight. Spare 15rd magazine in mag pouch (15rd instead of 12td for ease of access). American Buffalo D2 folding pocket knife. Key ring with bottle opener, keys and that dumb key knife because it actually does well slipping past checkpoints and as a boxcutter. A handheld adjustable-beam flashlight with pocket clip. Fingernail clippers (I get a lot of hang nails). Bic pens. Kubaton disguised as a Bic pen (mostly just to use as a pointy thing and because it was given to me).

That was my daily carry for 3 yrs in Afghanistan. Open or concealed. The Gerber was correctly identified and smaller is a Old Timer 340T. Loved that Gerber till I lost it on a C130 at night. Now have a G19 here.

G43 with spare mag
Or Shield 2.0 45, spare mag

Either/both carried in a CJ leather pancake, with spare mag/s in CompTac single mag pouches.

Kershaw Volt
Streamlight ProTac 1L if I’m not close to the house or truck.

Depends slightly on whether it is jacket weather.
Key fob
Wallet
Phone
Tactical pen/flashlight combo
Pistol
If I have jacket pockets, then a pocket knife, extra mag, tiny first aid kit.

Keys
Phone
Wallet
and a leatherman of some sort

That's the basis of it all, everyday.
Now I do add things on person in various situations, like traveling, but I try to keep it light and simple typically.

I work from home. So the picture I posted upthread is my "go to town" ensemble.

At home it's more like this:

I switch the firearm up on occasion. Sometimes it's the G43X, sometimes the G43. Today its the 442. I finally got around to making an OWB kydex speedease rig for it.

No I do not.......

how is the shield in 45 ? I wanted one before but I figured a 45 coming out of that small of a gun would just be unpleasant to shoot.
Surprisingly soft shooter for its size and weight. I have run it in matches as well. I owned an XDS in .45 right after they came out a decade ago and found it to be unpleasant to shoot. Trigger slap, and I didn’t like that course, aggressive grip texture. The Shield is nothing like that in my opinion, although I did take some 220 grit to the side of the grip that rides my hip because I wear it under a shirt in warm weather without a tee shirt behind it.
