What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Traded a couple of mags with @dkmatthews since he had some 20rd FDE PMags that have been discontinued for awhile.

And since while searching for trade items I noticed I didn’t have as many black PMags as I thought I did, I bought a dozen 30-rounders from PSA since they’re $7.99 and free shipping (for 10+).

Black Friday Cyber Monday purchases
15 Hexmags (10 black 5 gray)
5 Bushmaster 10 rd (thought they were 450)
5 buffer tube kits
4 stripped uppers
4 LPKs
2 Billet 80’s
2 Nitride BCGs
2 pistol cases
1 3 prong flash hider
1 15” Grid Defense Handguard
Not too bad considering we just bought a house and I’m trying to save money. But a deal is a deal.

@Jerzsubbie

I picked up a few ETS M&P mags but haven’t tried them yet. Would you mind posting your thoughts after you’ve run ‘em?

Sure. Initial impressions are questionable. The part that goes into the gun is pretty thin, So thin that I can easily flex the plastic with my fingers and I feel like I could crack it if I tried.
Now I realize they have limitations on thickness since it’s a plastic mag replacing a stainless mag. I also trust that ETS made a mag that won’t break easily, but I may do my own drop testing to see just how easily it may be damaged under normal or careless use, but not torture-testing type use.

I still need to grab a couple of the 12rd Shield mags for mag changes.

I don't have any ETS mags for Brand X but I have several ETS mags for Glocks and they work just as well as original factory magazines. That said, I won't carry anything but factory magazines.

Glock mags are ETS’ bread and butter, they do those well. Since Glocks are designed around a polymer mag, creating an aftermarket polymer mag isn’t an issue. It becomes much more challenging when you’re trying to make a polymer mag to replace a metal mag because you don’t have clearance for a whole lot of extra thickness, which is required to get the needed strength from polymer.
Look at an AR mag. The folds/grooves in GI mags are what provide the clearance for the extra thickness needed to make a polymer Pmag work so well.

That’s my amateur engineering analysis at least.

Plastic totes!

So I can actually find all my shit.

I have been terribly disorganized. Web only moved into this house 4 years ago and still have boxes we have not opened. Have thrown out alot we moved though!

Just returned in the last hour or so from a trip to PSA. I took my Cousin who is not particularly a "gun guy" even though a Viet Nam era Marine.
He got 2 Shields in 9mm and his first AR Pistol with an adjustable brace and some Good Irons and the PSA upgraded trigger.
He bought 8 extra mags and 1,000 rounds of Federal ammo.
There were 5 men behind the counter ranging in age from 21 to 60. Not One of them knew what a BladeTec Holster was or had ever heard of them.

Another Steyr. This time it was the one I've been looking for, the L9A1. It was the only one on Gunbroker at the time and I was the only bidder. I just need the M9A1 to complete the set now.

Also worked out a trade with @Damifino for the Sig GSR he had. It'll be going to Roy for cerakote tomorrow, then small parts will be going out for a black TiN coating. It's gonna look amazing!

I see that they're giving away S&W's with Post It Notes now.
Go ahead, make your jokes.

50 years from now, I’ll be able to sell these Unfired, NIB antiques for thousands.

Placed an order for a Franklin Armory binary trigger yesterday. Put it in my shopping cart Thursday and went back yesterday to read the description on it again and noticed the price had jumped wayyyy up. The one in my cart was still old price so placed the order. Credit card hasn't been charged yet...will have to wait and see if they honor the old price.

(Unless you bought 8 other boxes already, and grabbed these as spares)

I had a similar conversation with a sales clerk...
I said "no sir, I only buy one box at a time and shoot it all up. No good citizen would ever stockpile or build a cache"
clerk nodded and moved on.

i'm very much fighting the urge to order a walther pps-m2 for $270 shipped.
I have about a billion walthers already, so what difference would one more make?

Picked up another Steyr, an L9A1

I now have an S9A1, C9A1, and L9A1. All I need is the M9A1 to complete the set.
