No question, he got a matched pair. You heard wrong.
This is my I'm an idiot purchase didn't need it. Had to have it.
Colt in 38 super it's one of my grail guns so the argument my wife and I are going to have later is worth it.View attachment 186596
Yep, one of the classic series, laser etched rollmarksI assume that is one of the new "Classic 70 series" guns. How are the rollmarks on the gun? Are they laser etched or true deeper rollmarks. I know some of the early 45 ACPs were laser etched. I am looking to get one sometime this year and use it as a base gun for a retro sleeper build but am concerned the rollmarks are too light to polish the flats.
Looking to do a build like this.
Yep, one of the classic series, laser etched rollmarks
They're so light any polishing will remove them. I'd post more pics but have already dropped it off at the Smith for Tigger job, with the addition of a new trigger, I hate the short triggers.
And a ambi. I'm gonna try it with these mods, then maybe later and add a beaver tail and a commander style hammer.
I already in at around 700 and with the first trip to the Smith I'm guessing I'll be around a thousand. Hopefully I have it ready for the first idpa match in april.
Edit: I saw an ria 38 super that was already built that I could have gotten for the price of the Colt that I managed to resist but it's something about a Colt.
Definitely not the same color, but pretty close. I think the bigger difference is more of a matte finish on the grip and gloss on the sight.Saw @Amps 13 post a pic with one of these foregrips:

Hopefully they’re somewhat close in color, but we’ll see. Just wanting my next build to not be 100% black.
Figured I’d pick one up for the Mrs.
This new Rutherford/Meck address concerns me. Who will I trade CZ’s with locally now?

Picture later tonight......Oh and I got my Colt Lightning back from Ford's.

Very nice! That’s next on my list to buy.
Nickel and Fire BlueFords master blue?
This is a Colt Bisley that in around 1930 received a complete King Conversion. It is in 38 Special and is a One Holer at 25 yds.
This is a beautiful little Colt Model of 1877. Sometimes called a Lightning. It is in 38 Colt. There was also a larger framed '77 in 41 Colt known as the Thunderer. There was a rare one known as The Rain Maker in 32 Colt.
I have owned a foot tub full of P35s but never did make the move to the top dog. I decided I wasn't getting any younger. My friend Don Carroway was visiting yesterday and I told him our plans were to shoot it today. He said...The first round out will cost you a thousand dollars in depreciation.....I said....Good Money Spent!!!! Today it was shot by all. Declared "magical" for it's trigger and hitability.
Nice choice of trigger.
I have tried a number of ar triggers over the years.....and CMC has become my favorite. The bonus is they are reasonably priced compared to their competitors.
Well?
