Just picked up a McMillan Mc3 Legacy stock for my Walmart-special R700 .223. I had no idea they made an injection molded stock and I must say, it feels quite solid. A5 pattern stock, pillar bedded, with stock spacers and adjustable cheek riser for $249 at CDNN. I went with the BDL bottom metal version, so I had to buy the hardware to convert from the ADL

Since my granddaughters (ages 6 and 10) had so much fun at the range their first time out shooting a Heritage 22lr Rough Rider and said they want to learn to shoot a rifle as well. So I picked up a Marlin 60 in good condition for them and if I read the info on line about the serial numbers right it appears to be made in 1985 with the 18 round tube magazine.

Anxiously awaited UPS for more Delta Elite upgrades. Put an EGW pin kit in, Cylinder & Slide sear spring and trigger, and an Ed Brown barrel bushing. The bushing dropped right in for a nice, snug fit. Pins installed beautifully. The trigger took just a little fitting.

I'd already replaced all the other springs with Wilson Combat stuff. Including their guide rod kit (spring, guide rod & shock buff). Sooo ready to run some rounds tomorrow!

Yesterday, I picked up a new Stribog SP9A3, and a few upgrade parts.

Last night, my wife walked into my office and saw me putting everything together.

She blurted out, "Did you get a new gun? Where did that come from?"

I said, "No baby. This is one of my old ARs that I bought 10 years ago. I just ordered some upgrade parts and converted it into a 9mm pistol! It's cool, huh?"

I handed it to her. She held it up, looked at both sides, looked down the sights, and then said, "Wow! That's really cool. I wanna shoot it."

I still can't believe it worked! It looks just like an AR, right? Hahaha!

Nope... I wanted the light on the left side to hit the button with my left thumb... But the light was in the way of the charging handle. In this pic, the light is on the right side and I could push it with my left hand bird finger...

I took it to the range yesterday, and I hated it on the right side.

Last night, after posting this, I put the light on the left side and moved the charging handle to the right side.

Now, the light is in the best position, but I have to practice rolling the pistol over so that I can charge the bolt with my left hand...

Not sure if that's best either, because I read online that, to clear a malfunction you have to roll it to the right and pull the charging handle back while the ejection port is facing the ground and the spent casing can fall onto the ground...

I'll take it back to the range and play with it...

Bought a 5 handgun holder from Case Club (Amazon). The version where the firearms are 'horizontal' versus 'vertical'. The case (form, quality, ease of customizing - solid foam, not 'pluck') was great and IMHO, worth the ~$50 I spent.

But, when you pick it up, will you have to tell your wife it's an AR? And, if you do, will she believe you?

;)
Have so many Glocks ,she wont know one from another. Besides we have an agreement. She has her checking account and I have mine, what's left after bills are paid we spend the way we want, no questions asked. She buys clothes, I buy G&A.

Grip frame, hammer, trigger & grip panels off a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. My stainless .41 Blackhawk is absolutely vicious with that small grip frame & full tilt loads & the SBH grip frame will fix that particular issue. I hate the BH's high spur hammer, so finding a package deal was perfect for me.
