Did anyone else buy this and have you seen your rebate yet?

I just went to the rebate website to track my claim. It only asks for three pieces of info to begin tracking; last name, street address, zip code. I entered the into and got the message that no claims were found.

I called the 800 number, stayed on hold until a recording finally said no one was available to take my call and to leave other info and my call would be returned.

    Not thrilled at the moment.

I bought a compass, so I can draw on the backs of targets. I want to put lots of IDPA-sized circles on the targets, and shoot them at varying distances. This will help me get practice, so I can compete in the fall/winter!

I figured a compass would be smaller to fit in the range bag. (Do they have templates for circles that size? Anyway the compass is a real cheapie way to do it, and will take up very little space in the bag.)

I like it, but no drawing allowed at my range, unless you're with an instructor. I guess I can do it without the draw. These circles look tiny, mine will be 8" diameter. (To shoot any this small I'd have to have them right up against my face! It's cute that you think I can hit something that small, though!)

    Shoot it at three yards.

    5-7 if you are brave.

I bought 5 targets, some of which I drew IDPA-sized circles on. (Also got my rear sight on the Glock switched out.)

Picked up a complete 224 Valk upper (from the for-sale section here). I also ordered a mag, and several different factory ammo to try out. I will put off buying dies for it until I can catch a sale possibly. I want to use the factory ammo to get a baseline for performance, and also to collect the brass for reloading.

Based on my experiences with 223, I plan to purchase a Forster micrometer seating die, and a Redding type S full-length sizing die. The Century 21 expander and neck turning tools I bought for 223 should work, and I already have some projectiles, powders, and primers to play with.

And guess what I literally just figured out? When it asks for street number, enter just that, the street number.

I'm so in the habit of entering my address, that I entered the number and the street name, garnering a no claim found response.

This time, I entered just the street number and Ta-da! An actual message stating they got it and it's in process.

I hope that's my only Duh moment for the day.

Just got word that my two other kits will be done tomorrow.

Both are Ti tubes with 7 radial (center marked, not drilled) cones.
One has a 1/2-28 adapter, with cones appropriate for 22LR, and is going on my 15-22 SBR
The other has a 1/2-36 adapter, with cones appropriate for 9mm, and is going on a 9mm AR pistol (as soon as PSA has the upper in stock again)

Will need to file my Form 1s this week...

    2 Colts...
    1. Colt Police Positive Target in .22. Nice, grips perfect! There were 31 handguns made by Colt with this serial number.
    2. Colt Detective Special in Nickel. Made in 1959 This .38 was one of 2 handguns made in that year with the Same serial number.
    Pictures to follow...……………………………….

I got a complete lower with MOE + stock and grip from PSA for $137 with tax. I got a 12" handguard from MI on clearance for $110 shipped and an Anderson upper from AIM on sale for $38 shipped.

So, for $285 and some leftover parts from the parts bin, I now have a new .556 rifle!

    Woohoo!:D:):D:)
