I've been on many, and rarely find much value there, but this one is different. For some reason, on here I feel like I am ... home.

I doubt that I am the only one. Thoughts?

It all started with the Great Canadian Sellout of 2016.
 
I am on a fantasy football site that is also home to “friends that I’ve never met IRL”. Honestly, a lot of it has to do with the mods. Discussions around things other than the subject matter of the forum help you get to know people better and decide which ones are folks that you would really connect with if you saw them IRL.

I truly enjoy the people here, with all the knowledge and the willingness to share it. It is like a family, with all the oddballs and nut cases....lol.
And you must attend a "function" at some point. You just have to.....
 
When we started this forum we were adamant that we wanted it to feel like sitting around a fire at a friends house or standing in their garage and shooting the sh1t.

There is no formula to such a gathering. Yeah there’s usually a reason that brings you all together like changing an alternator (in this case a love of the second amendment) but you talk about cars, talk about girls, share news of family and friends, argue about politics etc.

Glad you like it here. People don’t just come here to do one thing. People come here and stay here. It’s the members that make this place what it is, make no doubt about it. I’m just a man of many penis jokes that was in the right place at the right time. The rest of the owners have better attributes.
 
So...a few days ago Bailey Boat and I were about back at it and someone chimed in and straight up cussed him...and I was like “Whoa homeboy...he may be a crotchety old bugger who I get along with about as well as hemorrhoids, but he is my crotchety old bugger...”

Many of us have met in real love, whether through a quick deal from the BST, or we have say for lunch or a coffee, or even spent time with each other’s families as friends. We all share a basic common bond: we love guns, freedom, our country, and country music sing by real men who look like 5 miles of bad road and peeled bourbon labels.
