Just wondering if you could tell me what type of rifle this is? A fellow I work with Dad just passed away and he always called it his German rifle.

Also looks like the stock may have been cut down.
 
Wondering what the average value would be considering the stock being cut down?
 
He sent me only partial pics. Best I can do, sorry.

For whatever reason, I couldn’t see the pic of the cut down stock in the OP. Thanks for the repost. I wanted to see how much there was in intact parts.

Those are very scarce rifles. Unfortunately, finding another stock set to restore it is pretty much impossible. What is left is either a shooter for someone or a couple hundred dollars worth of parts. Complete, the gun would have been worth much, much more.

Should be chambered in 8mm Mauser.
