My mom is going thru old pics. This is my dads sister from probably 1960-something. I thought it was a late-50s model GM, but I can’t match up any pics with the big “airplane” emblem on the quarter panel.
Can anyone tell what it is? Thanks!

Back when a brand new convertible only cost $2,230.... Crazy... With inflation, that's the equivalent of almost $22,000 US dollars today...

But, today, a new convertible would probably have a sticker price closer to $45,000...

What happened?

People with money don’t mind paying the stupid price of today.
Just check out our very own BST section.

Federal Reserve has stolen your purchase power.

Familiar looking breed of pooch. My great grand dad’s around 1910. “Mike”View attachment 257248

LOL, This is Ol Jime. My granddaddy would send to store to get a package- it might have meat, cheeses, eggs... did not matter, he would bring it home. Mom said he was her baby sitter, grandma would sit mom at the end of field and Jim would watch her till end of day. Only time granddaddy cried was when Ol Jim died

My mom’s dad and family lived on the waterfront in Charleston at the turn of the last century, and would go to the First Scots Presbyterian church on Sundays. Mike would go with them.

One Sunday the family didn’t go due to illness or something, but Mike went anyway. The preacher was talking from the pulpit at the beginning of the service when Mike walked in and down the aisle to their regular spot in one of the pews. The preacher paused, then said, “....and representing the Jenkins family today is Mike, the dog."
