What really stupid thing did you do today?

Thanks for sharing your good, makes some of us feel more, um, normal
Is the fire liner (Sheetrock) intact as well?
This was my question that I was surprised was not asked until now. How is the inside wall. Behind the liner? And also the fire liner? Seems such a fall would jeopardize the integrity some? I dunno. Glad no one was hurt.

My wife and I have been decluttering our house. She bags stuff up and I get to tote it downstairs. I decided to save myself a few steps and chunked a stout contractor bag full of old paper/toys etc from the son's room out the kitchen windowm and managed to destroy a planter that she had just put flowers in. Thankfully my wife is a good woman who understands she is married to Dan Connor and has only called me a dumbass 50ish times.

I don't know about dumbass but I had the power company come move a pole so I could get turned in to the door of my shop. Only to have the gf put flower planters in the same damn spot. So backing in the other day I just happened to let my front tire run over one and pancaked the planter. She was so pissed. but hey she knew the deal when she put them out there.

Na, it's cool bro, it's not going anywhere. μ of the truck bed is plenty.

The good news is that no one was hurt and you've got a good story forever.

It wasnt the truck bed. If it were the rhino lined truck bed μ would have been fine. Last minute the guy loading it threw the cardboard on the truck bed while I was wrangling on the phone with work trying to fix their problem over the phone not thinking about mine. The μ of the cardboard was MUCH slicker than my truck bed. Out the back it went at 3 MPH around a corner. My fault though and no one was hurt and it would have been my fault if they were yada yada yada.

Years and years ago I was helping move one of the daughters out of a 3rd floor apartment. No elevator. Clothes, bedding you name it, if it could fly it did. Wife wasn't amused.

Mechanical. Jack of all trades master of none.
But your plan looked good on paper! I work at a home depot and they put a 22cu fridge in the bed of the pickup, did not want to tie it down. Told the guy that that fridge has about 16sq ft of area that the wind will push against it when he drives home, 'no problem, we don't live far'. He came back the next day because it fell of the back of the truck and wanted it replaced. NOPE.

Drove 20 minutes each way down the mountain to get 2 $0.72 cans of sweet peas. Really wanted sweet peas and new potatoes with my burger.

I went upstairs in the barn, insurance wanted pictures if I was up to it.
