I grew up a skate punk stage diving surfing kid of the late 80's early 90's and still mostly like "alternative rock" whatever that is, but I still really like some rap (Chuck D and Public Enemy and Ice-T hooked me).

I'm really into Run The Jewels lately

I also have a soft spot (wrong word?) for Iggy NSFW

Whatcha got?

I have varying tastes...I love Dwight Yoakam, but also have some Rammstein in the mix. Im more of a Mozart man than Beethoven, but also like AC/DC and Motorhead.

It's odd the amount of hype the punk and hardcore world give RTJ, Ive not really given them a chance yet. Maybe I should

Rammstein is pretty hard core normally, and not my cup of tea, but this songs haunting melody sticks with me.

This song from Andrea Bocelli and Sara Brightman is me and my middle daughters song. We listen to it at bedtime.

Back when I was in my mid 20's I had just gotten out of a serious relationship with a gal and this song kinda reminds me of that time:

Back in college I was a huge LIVE fan, this song was the first of theirs that really grabbed me:

Another College tune, Better than Ezra. Now this song makes me remember some of the "glory days" of my youth:

Having two daughters, this Steven Curtis Chapman song gets me every time.

BOOger, Time to say Goodbye by Bocelli and Brightman is one of my all time favorites.

Another great one is the Bocelli / Ed Sheeran duet Perfect Symphony.

A wide variety of music is in my library. Everything from modern Pop to 40's big band. Country, western, classic rock, alternative, classical; I like a wide variety but not much jazz.

I generally listen to classic rock, but I do like Karl Jenkins. I heard this one on the radio while driving and as soon as they mentioned the name I stopped at a nearby Best Buy and bought the CD on the spot.

You guys will undoubtedly laugh at it, but I'm flat in love with the girl singing this song. I've never heard a better rendition of this difficult piece (and I like Josh Turner's stuff too):

Now if you want something that will put a smile on your face every time you listen to it, here's my favorite jam session:

Stardust is the most recorded song ever; this is how it should be played:

But I don't just like middle-aged guys playing old blues and jazz

but you asked for "unexpected" music... :D

first video is sweet!

I love religious music oddly enough. Not to jam out to at the gym, and not the stuff in most gospel books at church. But requiems and religious Madrigal music as well as take 6 etc.

I seem to have posted the wrong link for Stardust - although the one I posted for The Sheik ain't bad, here's the right one

Good stuff all, keep em coming

Bach's Cello Suites.

I almost went out and bought a cello.

Sara Brightman was a surprise that came up in my pandora feed. Did you know she was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber and can perform fluently in 14 languages, including Hindi?

I did know about ALW, but not about the number of languages, she is incredibly talented.

Greta van fleet - total zep ripoff and its great. If you're gonna copy another band make sense to copy the geatest. Band. Ever.

Ghost- saw them with iron maiden last year and theyve really grown on me despite the satanic shtick

Winery dogs

Fleet Foxes have been a favorite of mine for years. It’s melodic, strange indie music. Spotify also has a “study Vibes” playlist that is full of some odd music that I actually enjoy.
