If you have an arfcom account I’d post it over there, there a ton of .mil aviation folks on that site. I can fwd some of the pics to a friend of mine that was a combat controller if you want, he may know.

They were likely in the same fighter group, and that truck was part of group operations. I think it was used for forward-deployed/austere C3 operations. Given that the squadrons were activated/deactivated so many times from WW2 to the present, it's hard to date the vehicle, but based on some of the old tech, my SWAG puts it in the 60s or 70s?
