What's for dinner?

Lowe's had Boston Butts on sale/sell/sail so I threw one on the UDS along with a rack of St. Louis ribs. Homemade slaw and deviled eggs. Washed it down with a New Belgium Citradelic. Going to bed happy tonight. No pics. :D

I was there yesterday, got some PVC pipe, pressure treated 2x8's and a fluorescent light fixture. I guess they were sold outta Butts. ;)

Spinach Salad, cauliflower mash, turkey burger.

I could stand to upgrade beers, but the spinach cheese pizza is pretty agreeable.

You're married. You know how this stuff ends up in the freezer. I'm just glad i didnt have to leave the house for dinner.

Touche.

And agreed - there are better ways to go that Bud Light. I'm not a big fan of light beers myself. Don't need heavy (porters and stouts), but Boston Lager and Yuengling usually do it right.

I avoided light beers for exactly 45 years, and drank pricier imports for the last 30 or so. After all that time i decided its just friggin beer, switched to "light" and lost 15 lbs. So there's that, lol.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and sadly the last of the okra. We only did a small late run. Gotta plant more next year. Cast iron is perfect for frying okra.

Mrstrcubed made a great homemade pizza tonight. Lots of cheese, sausage, beef, peppers, etc. That thing was close to 2" thick. I saved a couple of pieces for lunch tomorrow.

We had some elk chili. I am about out of elk and may have to start getting back into shape for another trip to the Rockies.

I never had Elk before. How does it compare to Deer?

Prime ribeye with some sauteed veggies. It was yummy.

I steamed a pound of Argintine Red Shrimp in vinegar and Old Bay and sautéed some Brussels sprouts, carrots, water chestnuts and broccoli with lemon juice and a little soy sauce. Melted some butter for the shrimp and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Damn that was good!

For tomorrow night.

I just picked up some black cherry and peach chunks this weekend. I haven't cooked anything with peach wood before. Sounds like it will be good.
