The wife's away so I'm getting super fancy tonight....frozen meatballs and marinara in the crockpot. Dr Pepper and I might fry up a couple lbs of bacon for dessert.

I hit Sushioki in Durham on the way home. I helped build it over the winter. Opening day for sushi burritos... Got a poke/tuna roll in a bowl and a roll for the ol' lady. Pretty tasty...

Skirt steak with shallot & lemon pan sauce. Threw some veggies into the oven and roasted them. Served it with a side of Carolina Gold Rice.

I oven roasted some chicken thighs with some left over red butter curry and some Trader Joe's Palaak Paneer(better than a lot of Indian Restaurants, BTW if you like Indian food). Delish and only around 6g of carbs...

Tried making an eggplant and spinach curry for the first time tonight. Not bad for a first effort. It could be improved though. Trying to force myself to make something vegetarian once a week so I don't use all my deer meat in the freezer.

The food and fireplace look great. But I am not sure about Lawrence Welk and the Modelo.
