What's for dinner?

Home made wings, tonight. Twelve pounds, in all. Each batch was sauced separately for the different heat tolerances in the family. We're big fans of the YouTube series called "Hot Ones", so this is a family favorite dinner.

The show with hot questions and even hotter wings.

Edit: And it seems unanimous that Da Bomb sucks. Lol.

Instant Pot tomato soup.

No pic, because although it tasted great, it looked like burned pepto bismol with chunks of chunky stuff in it.

Indeed! Da Bomb has an awful taste and makes The Last Dab seem less hot because it tastes better.

12 lbs is a serious amount of wings. Good job.

One of my favorite fast food joints. 3x3 animal style. They got good milkshakes too. I like the idea of coating the burgers in mustard then grilling them.
It's a #1 animal style for me, if I think my heart can take it I'll add that to the fries as well. Good stuff!

Yup. Gotta eat em with a fork at that point. Or at least the last bit of em.

We’re going to eat fried venison tenderloin covered in gravy tonight. Hopefully in the morning I can restock our venison, tonight’s is the last one we have.

Going outside my comfort zone this weekend. We have a busy Monday and Tuesday so I made my first pot of chowder. Bay scallop chowder with yukon gold taters, little bit of corn, carrot and onion. About 4 slices of chopped bacon too. Tried a taste and wasn’t half bad. Will know more when it’s tomorrow’s supper.

That looks awesome. I never made chowder before but always wanted to. May have just found some encouragement. Haha

I just picked a recipe off the net and went for it. Not too tough at all. Bay scallops were on sale for a great price so that’s the way I went. Gotta get my indoor cooking skills fine tuned for winter. Once it gets cold the Cajun Venison Stew and Pozole cooks are gonna happen.

Thai Green Curry Shrimp over rice noodles. Sapporo dry

Couldn't get over to H-Mart for the green papaya so, no salad. I suppose we will live.

Got some chili simmering for supper.

We did chili yesterday while it was rainy and cold. Mmmm, mmmm...

I knew today was going to be better weather and I would be grilling something, so I mixed up a couple jars of our homemade bbq sauce last night lol.
Tangy and sweet for the Mrs and girl child, tangy with heat and spice for me and boy child.
It'll go well on the chicken legs I'm thawing out :D

Hadn’t actually made anything in a while. Bought a new to me char broil big easy oil less fryer the other week and finally got to try it out. Cooked two whole chickens. Both injected with creole butter (and lots of it) and rubbed with tony chacheres creole seasoning. Pulled them when the breast temp got to 165. They were delicious.

Digging through the freezer looking for something to thaw for dinner and found some steaks in the bottom I had forgot about. Couldnt see through the vacuum bag to see what they were until they thawed.
Turns out, they were Porterhouses lol.

So, supper was Porterhouse stwaks, medium, with steakhouse mac n cheese.
Yum, yum
