What's everyone carrying in their 9mm for self defense?

I'm a fan of the Corbon +p 115 gr JHP

Federal HST, Speer Gold Dots, Hornsby Critical Duty. In that order of preference

Fed HST 124, good test performance, reasonable pricing in a 50rnd box. Gold Dots are interchangeable so far as I am concerned. Meant to accuracy compare them since they're so close, still haven't.

147 grain HST

Same here.
For whatever reason, my PCR's and P01's prefer the HST 147s.
My Walthers and Sigs prefer Speer Gold Dot 147s. But since I dont carry them, they eat HSTs, too lol

I load my magazine with the first round as CCI shot shell round, followed by 2 rounds of DRT ammo, then I alternate FMJ and black talon JHPs for the remaining rounds.

Federal HST
Winchester Ranger T
Speer Gold Dot
Hornady Critical Duty
Anything with a Barnes Copper HP

Honestly, all of the premium defense ammo is designed to meet the same standards so there's no real big difference in performance so buy whatever shoots closest to POA in your pistol and is readily available.

No feed problems ever with the CCI?

Always a shot shell first, or just around the house?

I'm not at all being critical of your decision, but why the shotshell? This is the very reason I started the thread, to learn something from others.

124gr GDHP.

Whenever I need to buy more I'll probably look into a bonded round like the Ranger T just because, not that I've had any issues or has to use the GDHPs.

Lol, I was totally joking. Just listed the most ridiculous set up I could thing of.

I carry HSTs. 124+p in all my pistols except my Glock 43. In that I use 147gr. Because heavier bullets tend to perform better out of shorter barrels.

That really sucks...now I have to unload all my carry mags!

I don't think the sarcasm came through but that certainly did sound like a ridiculous setup. Lol

HST 124gr +P

Federal HST and Speer Gold Dot are my favorites. Have or will use Winchester Ranger-T. Prefer all of these in 147gr (hence the user name.)

I feel like heavy for caliber ball ammo is just as good for SD as all the whizzbang hollow points regardless of what caliber you're carrying.
Sorry but I just can't agree with you.
