I know most of you who carry 45 probably carry +p, I know I do. Right now I carry Ranger T-Series 230gr. IMG_20190912_114351_01.jpg

Just trying to start a thread that's non-combative, non-political, because I'm bored lol
It didn’t work. Everyone knows that only Democrat p***ies carry 45’s. :D

@18DAI spends more time than anyone I know thinking about calibers and the stopping power of various loads. As far as I know, if you see him, he's more than likely carrying an all metal Smith .45. I'm sure he'll have plenty to add here. ;)

Soon I'll be carrying .450 SMC and\or .45 Super in the G21. 1300+fps with a 45cal bullet? Yes please.

I carried RA45T on the job. Standard velocity. We got better penetration AND expansion with it - than with the +P load. And reduced wear and tear on the guns too.

45 Super? I never understood why some folks want to turn their 45s into "Magnums". Regards 18DAI
Because sometimes fat needs to go fast lol

Is RA45T the T-series 230gr non +p?
ETA: just looked it up

Federal HST. Although I'm not as sold on +p ammo as I once was. If you look at the difference between standard loads and +p loads the difference is minimal. That being said, if you can shoot both equally well why not carry a little extra oomph?

When I carried a 45 daily someone once asked "why do you carry a 45.". My reply was because the don't make a 46. Seriously today I carry a 9mmbecause arthritis in my fingers makes for easier shooting, less recoil faster second shots.if you get center mass hits I don't think caliber makes a whole lot of difference as long as it's center fire and larger than a 380.

thats why i carry 9mm. im proficient with it, and can plant all 18 rounds where they need to go. of course if i had a bigger holster, i would consider the 360 grainers in the .460.

I carry 230gr in Remington Golden Saber LE 45 and 230gr Speer Gold Dot LE Duty 45. I use these in my 1911s, Sig P320c, P320f and HK USP 45c.

One or the other depending on which gun I have strapped on.
160gr Barnes TAC TX @1050fps or 185gr Barnes TAC TX @950fps
