What I am envisioning is not anything large or terribly grandiose, but it will be fairly visible to others all day every day from the neighborhood entrance and I want it to look nice. Could be anything from a place to park a riding lawnmower to a playhouse for a grandbaby. Just started thinking about this yestyerday. I need to start looking if I want to make a decision before having a fence built in a couple of months.

My plan is for a six foot wood fence in the backyard of a property. It will likely be easier to purchase the building and have it delivered prior to installing said fence.

Are these typically delivered assembled, and off-loaded and placed with a fork truck? I am assuming for the small size I want it wouldn’t be stick-built on site.

Thanks in advance.

When I bought mine it was delivered by roll off trailer and positioned by two guys rolling it on pipes. Then jacked and blocked to level.

I've been happy with mine. It's metal with a roll up door. Had it for about 10 years and had it moved from the old house to the new. People I bought it from moved it for me for a small fee even. They are a bit far afield from your area though being right up the road here in Alamance Co.

And for size comparisons that one is a 10x16. Larger or smaller may be handled differently

Neighbor across the street from me just had one roll up 30 minutes ago. They have the pre built walls and shingles on the trailer and are assembling it on site. Like gun safes, get one bigger than you think you need. They fill up fast.

What he said. That last part....

In tighter spaces they are delivered with a mule machine. Shed depot out of Sanford has the best looking/built houses. Albeit a little bit more expensive. Old Hickory makes a decent shed but their delivery time including ones on the lot stink. Also, there is not price break typically from Old Hickory - all of the places you goto get em from corporate.

btw I’ve purchased 6 for our rescue over the past 4 years.

I’ll check out Shed Depot in Sanford. They aren’t too far at all. Thanks.

We bought a Graceland building for the wife's she-shed, so far we're pleased with it. And it looks nice.
Only issue we ran into was build time for one that wasn't already on the lot was pretty long, so we bought off the lot.

I can't remember who we bought ours from... I think it was the Shed Depot.... might of been Cardinal in Sanford. I'd have to go out and look at the little plaque inside to say for certain.
We just took a day and drove around to see who had what we were looking for on the lot and got a 12x21' delivered.... I wouldn't pay to order one and wait. The inventory changes quick at most of the places and generally if you come with cash in hand they are willing to deal to get it off the lot.

Usually if under 12” wide they deliver on the roll off style trailers all they way up to 24’ long. These usually have heavy runners under them to slide or roll on the trailers where as a site built will not usually. If you think you would ever move or want the building moved later on this becomes important as well so that it can be picked back up easier.
