Looking for somewhere to shoot extended distance. There is only so much one can learn at 200 yards. Not saying that I have mastered the 200 yard range by any means, but I would love to have an opportunity to get out a little further. I'm in Union County, just outside of Charlotte but don't mind a little drive to do some quality shooting. I also don't mind paying if that's necessary.

The Sandlapper Rifle and Gun Club just south of Columbia has a rifle range out to 600 yards.

Members only. And Sunday is suppressed rifles only. When my current membership is up (300yd range), I’m going to look into joining Sandlapper. But it’s twice the money....but twice the range. And MANDATORY suppressed shooting sounds nice

Non members can shoot for $20.00 a day.

From the website. ..

"The Sandlapper Gun Club is a members’ club and is not open to the public. Club membership is $300.00 per year, starting on the first of the year. Members can bring wife/husband or one child under the age of 21 as part of your membership. Members can bring one guest to the range. The guest fee is $25.00 per day."

Isn’t there a place between hickory and Charlotte that’s got a long range? I remember them running a match there I saw it on fb so it’s got to be real!

The Clinton House Plantation in Clinton, SC has 1,000yd and is open to the public

What if I shoot 30 cal out of my 300 mag :p

ButT seriously, can someone not jsut put out a 1000yrd course without all the hauty bullshit so I can take my cheap azz 300 win mag out and lob some in. My scope will in no way zero on a 1000yrds and I don't care. I want to shoot without paying someone to be over my shoulder.

I'd pay $50 a trip for that. To me it would be like paying for a nice round of golf. Put some illegal way out there shaggin 240gr boat tails with a walkie talkie letting me know if I'm on target.

Bullseye in Vale has a groundhog shoot every year. I think their range is close to 300. Semi private. They have a membership option but also have a pay to shoot option for non members. I'd call ahead to verify all that though. They are near the intersection of Hwy 10 and 18 in Vale. I'm a member at Catawba Valley Wildlife and our range is 300 yards with steel plates on the berm. Got to be a guest of a member to shoot at CVWC. I'm not opposed to taking anyone out there, but my schedule stays pretty dang full too.
