I'm having a hard time deciding on a new handgun.

On one hand I'm wanting a new pocket gun, a Glock 43. I have a Beretta tomcat that I use now for when I'm not carry my G19( which is very rare) and just about all my handguns are Grocks.

On the other hand I want a 1911. Most likely the Kimber custom ii as it's a well made gun and I like it. And I don't currently have a 45. ( I find this 1911 often online for $599).

Both of these are wants not needs. So help me choose! Lol thanks

I'd say 1911 in 45 if you don't have one, but I cannot speak to the lower level Kimbers. If it is mostly a range gun then you can always adjust, fix or tweak whatever you need to with a 1911 to get it running. In that price range people seem to like the RIA's. I am a picky SOB with sights, checkering and things like that so most $500 or so 1911's aren't for me. Have you looked at the new Springfield Elite Range Officers? More money, but look like a good gun for the moeny.

I'm not sure I'd consider a G43 a 'pocket gun'. The G42, yes. I have a 43 and at times can carry it in cargo pants with a sturdy gun belt. But at 3.4 barrel and over 20 oz. loaded, it's more comfortable for me holstered on the belt, same as the M&P Shield. For pocket carry, I've liked the Sig P938, Kahr CM9 based on size and weight. As always YMMV.

I carry a G43 in my front pocket about as often as I carry it on my belt. It's my EDC.

But I wear a gun belt everyday, including with dress clothes on Sunday, and wear cargo pants or jeans in the winter, and cargo shorts in the summer.

My logic is get the 1st one you can get at the best price. Then get the other one on the next go round. Usually I find something else in the interim and forget about that 2nd one ending up going in a whole new direction. :p
