I guess the days of white letter tires are gone. I still have the factory tires on my car so it’s not like I’m taking them off. For now I’ve bought some sharpie oil based paint markers and I’m gonna make mine own😁
My wife and kids told me it probably won’t look good but I honestly don’t care what others think. I just know I want some white letters on my tires. Pics eventually 😎😎😎

They also make tire specific pens these days

I thought they still made them with white on one side so you could choose which side was facing outward?
Some do…either white, or at least white outline. But it’s not many of them.

Goodyear still makes white outline tires. They come through on some fleet vehicles now and then.

These days??

That was a staple in the JC Whitney catalog 50 years ago.

Kids ..... 🙄

50-50 on trucks with sizes that offer white letter tires. Usually comes down to who is willing to keep them clean.

Old hot rods or muscle cars want the bfg or maybe the Cooper Cobra when they hear the price of the BFG.

see plenty of W L, but many are on the 'inside' of the rim...

early1970's did use the crayons/pen to make my own... they looked bad at their half life of the crayon...

If you do have the white letters or outlines…simple green does a great job cleaning them.

I think most LTs are still available with painted letters. I always have them face in.

Louvers are back, see them all the time around town
Couple kids at the school have them too.

Back many years ago when a lot of cars and trucks had either white walls or white letters I met a man that has his own business re Whiteing these tires at car dealerships. He had this nifty machine that he would sit on, it would lift the tire off the ground and then would spin the tire using rollers and had a small paint roller he would place on the tire to re white the white. He traveled from car dealership to independents every month to touch up the white. He charged, if I remember correctly $ 2.50 per tire.

They do. I run a pretty common oldschool tire size on my truck and it's pretty normal to get thin white walls or white letters on one side. I'm not searching for them at all it's just very common still on some tire sizes

I generally like white letter tires, I have some on my mid 90's truck. They have way more character than some dingy blackwalls.
