Why is it so hard to find a plain 20 inch AR?

If you meet someone today that gets under your skin, you met a butthole. If everyone you meet is wrong, and has a problem, theyre not the buttholes anymore......

This entire thread is so stupid that it’s funny. If it wasn’t so much fun to watch, I’d close it

Why can't I find a lever gun in .25 acp? Case hardened frame octo barrel, 16"
straight stock, 15.625 length of pull. With a buffalo horn Schnabel forend.
I just don't know what the problem is. I'm open to trades. No low ballers.

One day I am going to have time, and make this exact gun for you. What will you do then Basil. What will you do then?

I like to think everyone is a booty portal myself included. It's just sometimes the style of rump aperture is complimentary.

This embodies the thread.

Damn you. I am actually googling to see if one exists.

I tried to read this entire thread, but didn't make it through the second page before it gave me diabetes.

Going to go find some insulin and try to forgive OP for wasting 5 minutes of my life. FUUUUUUUUU

LOL!!! Ok so I came back in here to say, "OMG, why the hell are you guys still entertaining this asinine question?!!" But n/m, this is pretty darn funny now!

@Burt Gummer def can't close this thread anytime soon. I still need help finding an original colt navy in 45LC with blonde wood grips that was hand engraved by Robert E Lee's quadriplegic nephew! I hear there are only 7 in existence. Anyone have a lead on one for about $500 plus an Xbox 360?

How did a quadriplegic engrave anything?

I was the first person to inquire about the mosin for trade by asking a value. I read your ad and knew it was for a trade and I was heading down your way in a few days with lots of trade fodder but the way you responded made me think this isn't worth my time. I was obviously right after reading this thread.

I asked you what you had, you said you didn’t have anything I wanted.

To OP, I know you don't want to build, but if you source the parts, I'll build the dang thing for free. I believe you are going to have to change your criteria for what you want. I can't understand the resistance to picking up the Nodak Parts. Harlan will move Heaven and Earth to get your upper and lower matching, and you will be on the waiting list long enough to save up close to 320 bucks. The barrel will be most difficult part to source if you are going for matching. Are you hellbent on the original SP1 BCG as well? From there it's the assorted parts (I have a lead on grey ones, or you can send regular parts in to JTT).

What do you think the total cost, ready to fire, would be?

The barrel would be the offsetting cost. I've found good Colt barrels from 100-350. Otherwise, 330 for upper and lower, say 300 for a specific barrel, 100 for the color matched LPK, 60 for the upper parts, and 125 for the furniture, or just go with the Brownells for cheaper. I've built a dozen or so retro/retro inspired for myself and friends this year, I probably have an average of 600-700 or so in my rifles, and I can be pretty picky, but I did have a big pile of retro furniture that I picked up for super cheap a while back.

The Brownells furniture does feel different, in that the handguards don't break every time your prop your rifle against the wall. Apparently, some people find that problematic.

Eh, he should found what he wanted when the getting was good....Everyone else with any sense and a modicum of discipline did. Everyone here has tried to help him and he has been utterly recalcitrant.

Bon Chance, Cheveux Dorés

Yes, I was a corpsman for 12 years, then got my commission. After fam fire with the M16A3 hand-me-down, my first carbine looked just like that. We used duct tape to tape Maglights, and had no RDS or optics. Those guns were ancient, but I loved my first M4. We didn't have them for too long before we got the M4A3; even then we used the handles/sights before we ever got optics, and we still had to use duct tape for lights.
Chuckman, would you clarify your M4A3? There are M16, M16A1, M16A2, M16A3 and M16A4 series. On the M4 there is only the M4 and M4A1.

Sure. I can see where the post was confusing. My M16 A3 did not have the detachable carry handle, my first M4 did not have the detachable carry handle. So in that regard they were similar. It was a little time before I got the M4 A1. And there are still more time before I got and then for that did not have the round plastic handguard.
