She finally decided. New Civic Touring Coupe 1.5L Turbo with CVT in white orchid pearl. Quick as crap man, no kidding. Has every option, nav, lane departure, back up and mirror cam, ivory leather, LED lamps and headlamps, 18" wheels. Handles like a sports car but rides like a lux boat. I think I am in love.

Nice car, but thread title and all...

My daughter has a 2014 Accord and it is huge.

Good Gawd I'd hate to break one of those tail-lights!
"Um yes sir we can have a new one in thursday, it'll be $800 plus tax.."

Good lookin car. Enjoy.

It was a grand to take the front bumper off a 2006 Cadillac DTS bought new to change the HID lamps. I sold it before it needed one.

That is exactly what I said and the sales guy confirmed. The Civic is the size that the Accord used to be.

I actually like the way it looks.

I have a '10 Ford Fusion I got for a lot of miles driven daily when I was on active duty. I want back in a truck but I still drive about 70 miles on average, daily, and that's straight to work and back home...no in and around mileage.

I like the new Fusion design but would look into this also for a replacement. As much as I want a truck, the fuel mileage can't be beat in these midsize sedans

Nice! When did the civic get as big as the accord?
The Accords have been creeping up in size over time. The 8th gen Accords are huge compared to what they had in the 80s or 90s.

I like the look of the new 10th gen Civics, and I'll bet the larger size and presumably longer wheelbase make for a much smoother ride than you used to get from what used to be fairly short wheelbase cars.

Try a tailgate on a 2017 F350 Superduty! $5500!!! Very nice Paul!

Reminds me of how when gas was $4 / gallon, anonymous "officials" kept telling us that people want smaller cars and that the manufacturers were going to quit making trucks and suvs.

My brother-in-law has an Accord. Over 300k miles on it.
The Accord coupe is not nearly as sharp looking as the Civic coupe Si. Less horse power, worse MPG too. But the price is about the same between the Civic and Accord coupes.

My daughter's civic has about 150K, it's a 2003. I fully expect 300K + from it.

My daughter's 2005 Civic has over 230K miles, my 2013 Civic has 125K miles. My wife's 2006 Odyssey also has 230K miles.

I bought my kids Honda Accords, mainly because I don't feel like doing anything besides normal maintenance. My daughter drives more than my son, so she got the almost 200K mile 2005 Accord, and he got the almost 300K mile one. They're both EX trim with leather, and drive and ride great. Not sure why anyone would need anything more before paying their own insurance premiums ;)

BTW I drive that 98 Accord V6 to work, and even almost 20+ year old Accords will stop and go pretty well when you keep good tires brakes fluid and a timing belt up to date.

There's not a 20 year old Civic that I would give you $500 for.

I love Hondas. Wife has an Odyssey, I drive a CRV and one daughter has a Civic. Bought an Accord in 1990 that I sold after 17 years and the current owner is still driving it.

Apples and oranges bro, but I feel ya.

I reset the mileage computer while cruising 55mph down NC39 to my inlaws house Tuesday. Now I know it's an estimate but it showed over 52mpg for the whole way. This was in econ mode with no stops but still...I likey.

Love those. My car has one option to display current MPG on a bar chart. Updates every few minutes. Long stretch of straight highway, slight downhill slope shows a nice high spike in MPG's. :D

Nice car.

It's really killing me that every single time I read the title of the thread I see it as wife's new "hip" and think WTH? When did that happen, is she ok. Then I read it again and say dammit again with reading hip and not whip...

I had that model long before 2017 ;)

She texted me today and said she needed white french tips to match her car....I said "whatever you want babe, nothing too good for my sammich maker".

When do you expect the swelling to go down around your left eye?

I've been looking for another hosting site. Know of any in which it's relatively simple to transfer pics from PB?

I told you I no see-ie pics!!

I've been contemplating a Civic for my daughter. Get it now and drive it 2-3 years until she starts driving then it's a "used" car for insurance purposes. But she really doesn't Want to drive...And then there's that new F150 SuperCrew bug I have..You know... Dirtyscrew 2. I think the Screw will win out... Hopefully....Lol

If I did get the Civic...I want the 2.4 NA....I don't want turbos to worry about. I know it's a Honda...But extra reliability the better.

For the Screw,it's gonna be 5.0 V8!!!

I think the Civic NA is a 2.0. I bought a 120K warr from Auto Park Honda with the car but honestly the drivetrain isn't what i was worried about, it was all of the electronics. I bet that the center info center with the nav, lane departure and cameras ect. would be thousands.

Wife LOVES this car. She absolutely adores it and I do too. I don't normally gush about shiz like this but this car seems to be perfect in a compact sporty car that gets crazy fuel mileage. It is simply fun to drive and enjoyable whether in town or on the hwy.
