Heading down for a wedding and the wife has informed me she wants to eat at one of the on the water seafood places. Anywhere n the Wilmington Wrightsville Beach area. @KnotRight and a couple others I believe know the area. Help a brother out on short notice.

Oops, that place ain't on the water.

These are two of our favorites. I highly recommend making reservations at the Pilot house. The two restaurants are side by side with outdoor seating on the river directly across from the battleship.

These would be my recommendations as well.

If you would rather be on saltwater instead Bluewater is ok, but the oceanic restaurant is on the ocean and will have better views.

Skip the seafood and go to the Platypus and Gnome...

Savorez is the best brunch in town...

There are several places on Airlie Road on the water near Wrightsville Beach. I don't remember their names.

Dockside, the fish house and bridge tender, bridge tender being the more upscale/fancier of the three. All good for what they are. We like to take the boat to dockside after a day on the water.

Bridge Tender is my wife's favorite when she wants fancy...
Dockside is my favorite.
Oceanic is very good but they are having major a/c problems since the renovation... You will sweat while enjoying the great view.

If you have time for a 2nd meal, head downtown:
Copper Penny
Platypus and Gnome
Front st Brewery
Anne Bonnys (open air restaurant on a barge w/ GREAT food!)

We did lunch at The Pilot House, tuna taretar app and shrimp and grits. The wife got chicken and waffles. We did dinner at the Oceanic, it was decent. Oysters Rockefeller were really good.
