Wilmington shooting

I remember when the (last good) police chief was fired because we had 3 murders in 1 year.
Wilmington is a different place now.
Luckily, the gangs have stayed mostly in the area that no one should be going.
Hadn't heard about this shooting...
As soon as I'm done crapping, I'll start making phone calls to some insiders I know.

The fact that the government would even consider repealing the second amendment is the very reason for which it was written.
 
Back in 2010-11 I was delivering gas to Sam's one night, about 2am and I heard gunshots. It was Wilmington after all and I didn't think too much about it, until a bullet bounced off the side of the trailer. I called the police, when he showed up he said they were investigating the shots, and collected the bullet.
About a week later I got a call from him, they had the guy and the gun and ballistics matched. After over a year in and out of federal court, he ended up with a 30-50 year sentence. It wouldn't have been NEAR that long, hadn't the bullet his the tanker. He was charged with an act of terrorism
 
Shooting occurred at 7th & Kidder st.... No surprise. Actually, surprised it doesn't happen more often.
If the gangs would stay in the ghetto, I'd be fine with nightly "mass shootings"

In theory, I agree. Let the animals eat each other.
Unfortunately, that's not the reality.
Not everybody in low income areas is a gangster. It's the innocent 73 y/o granny or 6 y/o kid or the teenager that actually studies and is on the way to college that takes a stray to the noodle.
And I have serious issues with that.

Nothing will change until dotGOV starts seriously prosecuting the criminals. As it stands now they're too afraid of how the stats would look and the ensuing cries of racism.
 
With all the shootings in the news lately, I haven't heard of a one from Chicago. Did they solve their "gun violence" problem there?

Kidder St ... “house party” ... this will only be a blurb and statistical number in “mass shootings” for gun control but most this event is very likely “Chicago style” and likely not an evil white male shooter.

This is true.
In the meantime, I still won't condone them shooting at each other with innocents around.
 
Easy to fix...

Conviction of possessing a firearm while committing a felony = death penalty, first offense. No plea bargain, no parole, no pardon and no Judicial leeway.

I agree but realize that getting a conviction from a jury that knows the accused would be killed might be difficult.

Dead maggot = good.
Maggot in jail = not quite as good.
Free maggot = bad.

Perhaps we need more prisons and fewer liberal judges.

If memory serves, VA actually put together a program of laws/enforcement/remote imprisonment that was very effective. Called project EXILE. Of course, I think it was discontinued a long while ago.

When the decent folks who reside in these neighborhoods (whether it’s the 73 year old granny or the 17-18 year old who has rejected the thug lifestyle and is trying to make something of himself) start dealing out street justice on these fools, the tide will turn.

And when it happens, those good people need to stay tight-lipped about it...

Officer: “We’ve got half a dozen known gangbangers laying dead in the street out here...anybody see what happened?”

73 year old granny: “No, officer. I just heard a bunch of gunshots, looked out the window and saw bodies everywhere.”

That’s how sh*t’ll get resolved.
 
I can’t speak for the folks living in those neighborhoods, but if it were me and I knew a few decent 17-18 year olds were going straight Paul Kersey, doing what they had to do to “take out the trash”, I wouldn’t say a damned word.

To push an agenda you must create a panic.

That's terrible to say and to read. But, if you believe dems are not creating some of this intentionally, I think you're wrong.

But, seriously, look at the dems pushing gun control. Get people scared and it gets easier.

Look just how easy they took away freedoms and started wearing masks.

Fear is a weapon.
