Opened a new box of Winchester game loads Ive had since Pandemic days.
They say universal on them and have really cheap looking ends on them.
I noticed when loading it into the breach of my break action with extractor it seemed it didnt want to go. I pushed it in and closed the action on it and proceeded to the problem at hand. I cocked the hammer aimed. Pulled the trigger. It didnt quite sound right but it had fired because what I was shooting at lay dead.
I opened the action and the shell was split at the primer end and wedged into the barrel cockeyed Not east to get out either.
I went to the box of shells and the crimp ends are flaired out and bigger than the shell and dont allow easy entry into the breach. I tried one from a box of another brand and no problem.
anyone else have problems with these. ?
