I have fired over 3k rounds of Tula and monarch steel cased 115gr ammo through my Glocks without any issues. They just eat. I bought 1k rounds of the wolf military classic steel cased 9mm. In the first box I had 8 FTF. They had good primer strikes. I did not attempt to fire them again. Has anyone else had this issue?

Should I just run through what I have and just stick with what I know works( Tula)?

I know brass cased is about the same price now but I don't like waiting for 2 months for a rebate..... Lol

Dang. I’ve never had any issues with wolf but I won’t touch Tula because of failures and squibs.

I've found the Wolf to have harder primers so make sure your striker or hammer hits them hard enough before buying too much

Are the Glocks stock? If I had to guess I would agree with Wahoo95 Wolf primers are hard. I only shoot Wolf ammo to test hammers and strikers when I have swapped springs mainsprings because I know if it will fire Wolf it will fire everything else.

I would hit them again and see if they fire. IMHO nothing wrong double striking a primer. If they don't I would bet you got a batch with bad primers.

Interesting. Yes the Glocks are completely stock besides sights. Hmmmm I guess I will burn through these. Good malfunction practice! Lol thanks guys!!

If it were me I’d just shoot the rest and count the messed up rounds as training opportunities.

A year or two ago some of us bought a large quantity of Wolf 9mm steel case ammo. We found that striker fired guns would have several rounds that would not go off but the guns with a hammer had no failures. I guess those hard primers just need a hammer to smack them so they'll go off.

Is it a recent batch, with lacquered bullets and primers (red seals on both)?

I've got 9k+ of wolf/tula/whatever steel through my G34 and some batches have really hard primers and I get FTFs even with the stock striker spring. Hasn't happened in the last 5k rounds, but then with this latest batch with the sealed stuff I'm getting 1 in 100. Happened last match even, it's just the price you pay for using cheap ammo. :) If you shoot Tula enough eventually you'll get a batch like this from them too, they use whatever components are cheap and available.

That said, they always go off on the 2nd strike. When I get FTFs in matches I just pick the round up and load it at the top of the mag for the next stage. Never had one fail twice.
