WPD: Stolen guns from unlocked cars are becoming a serious problem

Wake Co sheriff Donnie Harrison sent out a similar warning.

Secure it fellas! Bad guys make us all look bad.

Yep! We had a string of thefts in the Detroit area a few years back. Turned out the thieves were targeting vehicles that had a sticker from a certain gun shop that gave em out like candy.

The thieves trolled parking lots of gun free zones, where chances of a gun in the car was very likely.
 
I would think the owners are not complying with the NC State law that requires owners to keep their guns locked or out of the reach of children.

In a vehicle all that is required is a closed compartment and thst when it's in a victim selection zone. All the more reason to do away with such places. My gun would be much safer for everyone stowed on my body then stowed in my car, but the stupid libruls and their emoting feelz skeered.
