When my FIL passed away 18 yrs ago, my MIL packed some of his things in a box for each of their 3 children. Life got in the way and my wife did not get her box until late last year and just opened it last night. Inside was a small shoebox with For FSJ80 on the lid. I opened it today and found this inside

No box, no magazine, nothing but this pistol. Quick research shows it may be a third variant WWI Mauser 1914. If this is right, then it is 7.65mm (.32 ACP) and should have a 7 round magazine somewhere.

Can anyone shed any accurate information on this find?

Thanks but I am more concerned about finding out if I am correct about the pistol and any history about them. Not sure I am ready to sell it yet since my in-laws wanted me to have it

Correct on the Mauser 1914 being in 7.65mm/.32 ACP. The Model 1910 were in 6.35mm/.25 ACP. I owned a 1914 back in the early 90s. I would keep it and look for a magazine. They are great shooters by the way.
