the FWRC just arrested her for battery after seeing the video.

Hope they revoke her right to carry that continuous-fire assault hose. Common sense hose laws are needed! What are we teaching our children by allowing them to commit battery by playing with water hoses?

I found this interesting...

“We… reviewed the actual parcel that Joyce owned. Her property line does not extend into the water like her neighbors. Her property only includes about 5 feet of shoreline. Jose had never approached the beach area that Joyce owns,” the local police incident report stated.

Just who does she think she is? I'll bet she's with Her. She's about to find out that she isn't connected. Perhaps she is, just not connected enough.

The same laws apply in NH unless you own all the land around the water.

Unless your name is Mitt Romney. Then you can put a rope with floats to mark off a Do Not Enter Zone and have your out of state MA State Police protection detail run people off public waters very much in violation of the law.

All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than others.

Stupid people. If she’d just lowered the boat into the water and fired it up he’d have walked away.

In Florida, all “land” submerged in navigable or tidally influenced water is referred to as “sovereign submerged land of the state.” In other words, all rivers and lakes are open to all. No one can “own” them.

I thought navigable waters were open to all in all states? You could have a private pond, but creeks/streams/rivers/ waterways in general are public if "navigable"?

You might be right. The difference in FL is the state actually owns the submerged land. Not sure if any other places do that.

I don’t know where the cutoff for “navigable” is. I can get down some streams with a kayak or even a jet ski where most boats cannot.

Water/land rights issues are nuts. In NC if it's navigable you can float it, but not wade it. Out west in some states the high water mark is the limit of private property, you can wade the stream and walk the bank. Just don't step past the high water mark. Can't remember the state but they allow floating except one parcel of land that has claimed a "King's Grant" that pre dates the revolutionary war and have used it to effectively shut down drift fishing on the river. Apparently there it is a popular section of river that goes through the property. And when they cut that off there are not options for ingress or egress and it shuts down the entire section of river. And it's not a small river either.

I’ve met some fishermen I would have liked to use for bait myself. Some of them are pure azzhole-istic.
Some are, but he was in the right. Screw the lady in the video, she was being the jerk.

How about just moving on and being the bigger person. Its not always about seeing who can be the bigger jerk.
I probably would have, but I’ll never fault someone for taking a stand when they are in the right. Screw her. If you don’t want people fishing around your dock then don’t live on a public waterway.

Hunter harassment is a thing. So is fisherman harassment. I would have returned fire with the flare gun and gave her something to put out with her hose

Goes the other way too. Keeping people off your property who dont belong there, but feel like they do. Just sayin'

I would wait til they are out enjoying their dock and drive up with one of those rediculously loud ski boats with the concert audio racks attached and play Skynerd and drink beer and tan all day while flying a Naval Jack

Have any of you ever heard of riparian rights?? In some instances the water rights CAN be sold along with the normal rights to a parcel of land that borders a body of water. She may THINK she has riparian rights but obviously doesn't. He neighbors may, but she doesn't, and you can't educate an idiot...

Swing on over to www.thehulltruth.com and get the ENTIRE skinny.....

I could never live on a body of water like that.

I don’t like people enough. If you want to find the rudest, crudest, nastiest people on the face of the earth, hit the lake in the summertime.
