...you wake up on a Tuesday morning to an email from Gunbroker, saying you won a firearm you don't even remember bidding on.

I learned today that I had a problem. And by "problem," I mean an enriching, sustainable endeavor with absolutely no regrets, consequences, or ill effects.

Right?

LOL you must have more money than me, I'd crap a brick if I'd forgotten I had bid on something and then won it

But look forward to seeing the pics of what you won!

I can remember the texts like they were yesterday...

@dmarbell : "I just bid on *name some expensive John Moses Browning semi-auto*.

Me: "Really? How much?"

dmarbell: "$XXX, I'll never win it for that."

two hours passes...

dmarbell: "Would you please bid on this thing?!?!"
Me: "I already have one."

Two minutes left in the auction...

dmarbell: "DAMMITT!!!!, will somebody just bid???!!!!"

Two minutes later...

Gunbroker: "Auction has ended. This item has sold."

dmarbell: "........."

I have bid on several guns that I believed were underpriced, and therefore I would not win. And a few I did win. Yes, the @fieldgrade narrative is pretty much dead on. It's almost a relief when someone else outbids you, and then you get mad and rebid. It's a disease that I think the current shortage of cash to buy guns might cure. If you're bidding on a Gunbroker gun, you'd better make sure it's a gun somebody else will want to trade for, because all that's out there now is guns used as scrip for acquiring other guns. Damn you Hillary for losing the election!

Your either single or have a very awesome wife :)

Haha I may be soon! Oy. My lovely lady doesn't really share our obsession hobby, but she's very good at "the less I know, the better." But even that has its limits...

A Maadi. A PARS import, to be exact. Besides a few "post-ban" neuter attempts (no bayonet lug, muzzle threads removed), it's pretty faithful to a traditional, albeit semi-auto Russian AKM.

Im gonna start a wife swapping auction site called hunbroker. Taking bids now.
HELL NO! I've already got one of those that says " Why do you need another gun!?" If anything ever happens to this one, there won't be another one! I just don't have time to train another one, hell, I don't have time to train the dog!

Late one evening, this guy asks his wife if she stopped at the cleaners to pick up his clothes. She responds, "No, I didn't. By the time I got up, got the coffee made, got the kids up, got their breakfast, got them off to school, went to the bank, went to the post office, went to the grocery store, cleaned the house, picked the kids up from school, got dinner made, did the dishes, helped the kids with their homework, got the kids cleaned up and in bed, I just didn't have time to stop at the cleaners. In fact, I don't even have time to wipe my butt. The husband responds, "Yes, that's another thing I've been meaning to talk to you about".

A guys wife was throwing him out, and as he was leaving the house with his suitcase, the wife screamed at him "And I hope that you're miserable the rest of your life!" He looked around and said " So you want me to stay?"
