You Might Be an Old Fart if...

Lucky you! My eye doc and I have been working through several prescriptions to find what works. Not a "special" case but, between my sensitive eyes and his lack of understanding my needs (shooting), finding the right contact lens fit is challenging for both of us.

Multifocal/progressive lense glasses just do not work for me.

Where did you find the old Coca Cola bottles to make those?
trifocals?

"Dual" focals. 2.5's high AND low in a pair of ANSI-spec safety glasses. OOOeeeee!

Bought 'em off Amazin' dot Communist fer 16 bucks, shipped.

I've got some top-focals coming, but shpg is delayed on those. The duals were a "eh, why not?" purchase. They exceed the value of zero possession.

Amazon sells prescription safety glasses?

I smell what you’re steppin’ in!
After almost 10 years and 5 eye docs Michelle at Johnson Optometric got the correct contacts the first try.

Along about May 18, my wife, Dr. De-Allen, at Family Eye Care in Jamestown, will be seeing patients for routine visits again, according to information received yesterday. Lately, she's been seeing folks with eye emergencies only. She has a lot of experience helping shooters, contact lens wearers, utility workers, IT professionals and others with special requirements.

Jeppo has been trying to talk her into joining CFF, but she is reluctant. Feel free to call her anytime, whether or not you are her patient. She can be reached at 336-454-5151.

If you can convince her to participate in CFF, I will reimburse your co-pay on your first visit after things open up!

Mrs. Lily,

Just giving you an alternative if it comes to that. Dr. Marguerite Gross at the eyecare center in crossroads (beside best buy). I brought it up to her a few years ago, I never followed through but asked her about shooting and she said your having trouble focusing on the front sight, We can do something with that. We were discussing glasses specifically but it sounded like she understands at least. Good eye doc, been going to her for 20 years at least.

Now I'm experimenting with reflex red dots. Looks promising so far, pun intended. Progressives suck, and I feel like an idiot trying to get that front sight post in focus.
