Your latest alcohol purchase

I bought 3 new bubblers a few weeks back. I use them to turn all kinds of juice into hard cider.

Scored this from my local store today. The 2 in the middle are excellent barrel aged stout. Unfortunately, you NC boys won’t be able to get your hands on as they are a little higher octane than the state allows beer to be, but if you ever come across any, jump on it, they are excellent.

This one was rather interesting and surprising to me. I do not typically enjoy the higher octane beers, but this one was smooth and dangerous at 8.1% ABV. It did have a slight bourbon flavor which some may like while others may absolutely hate. It's brewed by a large commercial distillery: Alltech

Ah, Finally the holiday season, so you get freebies at the liquor store. Glad Jameson quit giving away the shot glasses, I have a cabinet full of those and leave one where ever I go. At least I get to try some of the different cask mates. Local store still did not have the Black Barrel. Going to have to order it in.Jameson.jpg

Doing an advent calendar with a buddy this year. This was my haul.

Stopped in the new ABC store in Wendell today... It's huge and has a great selection.

I grabbed a bottle of Jefferson's Ocean and saw what may be the last bottle of Stranahan's Diamond Peak in the county... It's been off the books for awhile now as I understand. So it came home with me too... Happy Thursday...

Some stuff to try. I have never had eggnog before.... and I I like this company's gin so I figured I would try their vodka too.

Took this home with me on my last trip up north, I only drink at home during the holidays.

@Wahoo95 , how was that Evan Williams? Be an ok house whiskey? On par with the Henry Mckenna or no? I am in the camp that thinks that Henry McKenna 10 year bottled in bond is one of the best $30 bourbons out there.

Evan Williams 100 proof is one of the best kept secrets out there. It's a really good bourbon, especially considering the price point. Plus you won't feel guilty if you get the urge to mix it with something or use it for a cocktail. I always have a bottle of this one at the house.

It is a fine whiskey. I rotate between it and the Evan Williams 1783 for house whiskey depending on monthly sales. My only complaint is I have never seen it sold by the pint (I like to keep a snort in my get home bag).

Just grabbed a handle of Evan Williams 1783 for 'house' duty, a fifth of Capt Morgan 100 for missus' cider & a fifth of Pendleton as a Christmas gift for my boss.

Give Pendleton a whirl some time. Very smooth, tasty whiskey. Not complex, just very nice & ~$25/fifth.

A 2fer of Blantons! Score!

Have been looking for a bottle for a while for a customer. A friend called and said get here...Stopped by another ABC store on the way home and wow, they had one too.

It really shouldn't be that difficult to get, but seems that of lot of people are searching for a bottle. It is smooth!

Had a pour with lunch today. First time I'd seen it on the bar shelf and it was hidden behind a bottle of 12 year old Weller

Chocolate liqueur from Durham Distillery as Christmas gifts.
