Said I'd never put a rack on top of the Pelican 1610 case but here we are!
I ordered a black rack but now find myself torn between two options...the rack or a Milwaukee packout base? I have a slew of packout boxes/bags.
My thoughts are this...with the rack I can only pack a duffle bag etc onto it and only the half packout would fit however, with the packout base I also have tie down points so I could do both as needed.
Another option would be to use the rack on the larger 1610 and use the packout base on the smaller 15 whatever Pelican as it is shorter...
Option 1 rack on the 1610 and base on the 1500 Pelican.
Option two rack on the 1500 and base on the 1610.
Option three order another base and put one on both.
I'm leaning towards the rack on the 1610 and ordering a few of the packout feet from Amazon as the base is to big on the smaller case.
