The Col presiding was immediately retired as LtCol, the 1st Sgt filming has been reprimanded and is no longer 1Sgt, and the Msgt reenlisting is no longer a full-time guard PAO, and admin action is pending.
 
Stupid... If she did it for her kids, who cares? People are way too serious...
 
If her kids are that young, just do a puppet show at home, the reenlistment ceremony will mean nothing to them anyway.

It trivialized a solemn and momentous occasion; reenlisting you sign a new "blank check" to the nation. It should be respectful, Barney has no place there.
 
Well, stupid. Not sure that you should be taking an oath if you aren’t serious about it.

One good thing that came from it was that I went off on a tangent and stumbled across this gem.

We used to do quarterly reenlistment C130 tailgates over Sicily DZ back in the 80s...

Do you have any idea how many times Ive had to stand in Lane six with my M11 and shoot the Majors targets on Lane five and the LTC's targets on Lane seven?
They cant shoot the frickin handguns either smdh
 
Agreed, but giving them handguns limits the range their stupid can reach..m
 
Once,my C.O. LtCol and his boss, Col went to the range to qual on M9. Sleeves rolled up on BDUs, LtCol caught a spent casing from Col to his left in his sleeve. With the muzzle of the M9, he reached around to flip the hot brass away, causing everyone to his left to dive for cover...

I pointed out that while there are many routes to promotion, capping your boss isn't normally an acceptable one...
