Military Arms Channel posted

YouTube is going after gun channels HARD

I can't believe this. I just got an email for my YouTube rep and he forwarded me this link, In 30 days these new rules will be enforced. Non-compliance means banishment from YouTube.

Read this everyone, this is simply unreal. Things like showing a magazine larger than 30 rounds is cause for banishment. Showing a belt fed firearm is cause for banishment. Presumably using a machine gun is cause for banishment, although not quite clear. Showing ammo being reloaded is cause for banishment. Showing a silencer being installed on a gun is cause for banishment.

The list goes on.

My time, and most gun channels time, on YouTube is limited. They are seriously trying to run us off. Please bookmark www.full30.com. That may be our only place to post in the not too distant future.

I'm in total disbelief right now...

Tim

Is there a pro-2A alternative to YouTube?

How about a pro-2A alternative to PayPal?

If not, we need them.

I believe an alternative site was listed in the OP.
An alternative FIREARMS ONLY site was listed. It's a great site - I like it. But none of the OTHER video subjects are there - you know, all the OTHER stuff people go to YouTube for. The larger issue of societal demonization of firearms and related subjects is still with us and ongoing. Collecting all the gun stuff into one other, separated place keeps its from disappearing...but it's not going to gain us any ground culturally. EVERYONE knows the word "YouTube," what you can find there, and how to get there. What kind of recognition does "Full30" have? Outside the 2A cognescenti? I know it's not that old yet, but the "YouTube alternative" needs to be more than just a place to have gun videos, or it's not a real alternative.

Well the hits keep on coming. Wonder what is going to happen when they realize that that this bullshit facade malarkey dreamland they live in, comes crashing down cause what they did has ZERO affect on anything.

I say once again, I refuse service to a gay couple (or anyone in the LGBT community), someone other than a whitey, and I get hymned to the wall. But Everyone else on the other side of the aisle that restricts, discriminates, and refuses services or anything of that nature cause it is deal with "white privileged" or firearm related people, then it is ok.

Wanna know something..... FU, don't like it, heard Syria has plenty of room for your non freedom loving, right's restricting ass. See how far you get when someone really doesn't go with your flow.

If firearm owners were a problem, I'm pretty sure everyone would know.

Though a lot of firearm owners (Fudds) simply don't give a shit. I know a few my self. Those are almost as worse as the antis

And this is why I don't support Youtube monetarily at all. I have ad blockers in place at the router, and don't subscribe to any of Google's commercial products. I use the stuff that is 'free' and that's about it.

James Yeager is launching LiberTV.

Bitchute is a youtube alternative as well.

So, where do we find the rest of the list of banishment triggers? I was just planning to increase the gun content on my channel.

Maybe it will get there. If you go there and search, it sure doesn't look or feel like a YouTube alternative.

Of course, we are in a chicken-and-egg situation where alternatives, when they exist, are new and have scant content. We need to do the same sort of thing underway with MSM sites/channels - not use the radical leftist ones. It'll be tough for a while, I think. The trick is weaning enough folks off YouTube/etc to hurt them in the pocketbook - the only place that seems to cause a (useful) reaction.

I just got an email about ISIS propaganda being all over YouTube.

But, hey, at least the children won't be exposed to such rotten things like high capacity clip-magazine-thingy-majigs and videos demonstrating how to use a Lee press.

There's all kinds of crap on there that I don't like or watch - but, hey, that's liberty, and I'm OK to live and let live. When "they" decided they couldn't live and let live...well, then that's when the trouble started...

There is a fatal flaw to retreating to these other digital enclaves; all someone has to do is complain directly to the hosting service.

Guns will soon be the pariah that Stormfront was awhile back; the whack-a-mole game against sites like that is winning.

So I might get flamed for this... what do we do when the media is our sworn enemy and we also lose the internet?

The first time I type in Ken Hackathorn, Clint Smith, or Jeff Cooper and they don't come up...I will ban THEM for life. I have 5 places I go to on this machine, that's it. If YouTube doesn't give me what I need...there will be 4. Yes, I know, they could care less about one old man in S.C., BUT I'll feel better.

Yep, Rome was built in a day. There is about 100 years of instructional Marxism to rid ourselves of. There will be pain and inconveniences.

No flaming - it's a very good question.

One more thought, I could be completely wrong, but now with Net Neutrality gone wouldn't that allow telecoms to grandstand the way Delta Airlines, Dicks, etc were?

Another Florida happens and they say "we are gonna do our part too!" ... and throttle places like this? What are yall gonna do then? Many of you wouldnt be able to contact one another...

If it goes that far things will likely get dicey. And I suspect some people will figure out how to band together locally without need of the internet. So, if you haven't thought about or started that by now, you are behind.

Maybe Tim at MAC was the only one who got the email about the new YouTube rules; none of the other gun channels I follow have said anything. Even the MAC Channel on YouTube, which has postings after this thread was started, does not mention anything.

I was pissed to read this when Twangnbang posted on fb. I watch a ton of YT and these things are all completely legal. They can only do it because they are a private company but I wish there was some way to protect the free speech when it regards constitutional rights, be it guns, religion, etc.

Difference is that since the internet travels over wires that traverse the public right of ways and subject to gov regulation, freedom of speech applies, unlike a private channel like youtube.

Thanks; this is information worth actually quoting (emphasis added):
YouTube prohibits certain kinds of content featuring firearms. Specifically, we don’t allow content that:
  • Intends to sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g., private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories include but may not be limited to accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and high capacity magazines (i.e., magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds).
  • Provides instructions on manufacturing a firearm, ammunition, high capacity magazine, homemade silencers/suppressors, or certain firearms accessories such as those listed above. This also includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.
  • Shows users how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.
Those are substantially different restrictions than the OP quoted Tim/MAC claiming:

I tried clicking on policies at youtube. It gave them to me in Spanish. Even when I chose English as the language it defaulted back to the Spanish page. I guess the policies only apply to illegal aliens.
