Even if they don't make sense to you folks, I consider all these changes positives.

My ebay store is closed. I'll no longer be taking orders for hybrids on ebay. In the future, as time permits, I'll add listings for my most popular holsters and have them ready to ship. It's taking too much time away from etsy. And time is something I can't get more of.

I've temporarily shut down my hybrids on etsy. They will probably come back at some point. But the leather is booming and I need the time to devote to leather.

If you need a hybrid, PM me here. I'll be doing my best to continue to take care of anyone here. It just might take a bit longer now. I'll not be keeping as much leather prepped and ready to build.

I have everyone in the house involved in the business now. It's that busy. Thankfully my wife has taken on some of the more time consuming finishing processes. That frees me up to focus on the front end getting the holsters made. Now, I have to get back to hacking leather on my day off. Get some!

And thanks for everything. Folks here have been instrumental in helping my build my little empire. lol

That's awesome you're doing so well! It sounds like it's time to raise prices. I have several of your holsters and would have paid more than I did.

That's on my list of upcoming actions too. At least for off site orders. I hear it from my wife, from friends that own businesses, and customers. There's only one problem. The last time I raised prices I sold MORE, and got busier. lol Heck of a problem to have.
Most Gun folks are attracted to Quality. @gunbelt was here Sunday and he is Covered UP!. To the point of considering not taking more orders. These two men provide Early 1900s quality and can accommadate your input....unheard of any more.....Get 'em while you can!!!

Thank you. What I like about using ebay and etsy is no site maintenance on my end and they both have vacation settings so I can disappear if I need too
I never leave the house without a CJ hybrid on my hip.

Lol, you are the reason I decided to make a post. If you need anything you know how to find me.

You're responsible for turning me into a holster snob
Just gave away a versacarry in the members section.
It was measured and found lacking.

Congratulations, on you business "problems". Glad to hear it, especially in these precarious times.

The first Dental Lab I worked in, the owner's wife solicited every Lab in the state. Whoever was the Highest...we were 10% higher...Covered Up Always.
There's actually a psychology to this, perceived value. There's a story along this line. An local professional commercial interior designer decided to leave a large firm and branch out on her own. As with most people starting out, she decided to set her rates at below market to gain business. She had difficulty finding work. A mentor recommended she raise her rates, because cheap rates imply sub-par work. She raised her rates to above market and her business grew quickly. The perception was that, if she charged more, she must do better work.
I learned a long time ago, not to low ball bids for work I was doing. You might win the contract, but you also might hate doing the job for the low rate. Then you don't do your best work. Then you're the cheap guy that does low quality work. It goes downhill from there.

It happens with art too. Some people WANT to spend more. Personally, I'm most comfortable in a middle ground. I WANT my stuff to be used, even abused, every day. I make a few high dollar rigs that get less use. But I want most of them to get used hard. To me, that means I'm doing it right.

With my S&W X Frame rigs, I raised the price slightly above what I was comfortable with. And I do that some with special order stuff. That sifts out the tire kickers fast, and means it's worth it for me to take it on. I'm working on a rig currently that is almost $400 for a holster and belt combo.

And there's the value for both sides.
