Just my personal 2 cents; you should invest in a high quality safe. I'm not a safe snob and I'm not bashing anyone, but I would avoid any safe from a department store short of a Liberty. I'd recommend browsing CL, FB marketplace, etc for a TL or commercial safe of some sort. There's a guy in roxboro that builds safes called Drake Safe Co. Cool old guy and he builds some serious stuff. I think his cheapest safe is +/-900 bucks. But this then really begs the question of how much your collection is worth.

This is truly who you want to call. Not cheap (in any sense of the word), VERY well built safes that are DANG HEAVY! He does deliver and will move it when you move if your moving company won't.
 
There is a long time Liberty dealer on 401 south below Raleigh and Garner. Talton's Safe. It’s all they do. Not close to you, but I don’t know how many dealers are available like that. That said, Drake makes the best that I know of, in Roxboro.

I've been by his "factory" and he makes some serious safes, extremely heavy and complete. Very well built safes and well worth the money.

Same here. It's an impressive setup. I believe he built 2 safes for a nuclear power company some time ago that had full blown blast doors, etc.
 
I have bought my 2 current safes from Costco. I forget the brand but they offer great prices. My 1st safe I bought from the manufacturer in Fresno, California. I was living there at the time.

I need another BIG One. Probably next year after we move.
 
I’ll throw in another plug for Drake. Speaking of service, when we were getting ready to sell our house in HP, he came and moved it to its new home for very reasonable fee.
