What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Where’s the Amazon warehouse?
Amazon commonly offers lower prices on returned goods. If there are such goods, you’ll find a link to them on the same page. I’ve only had one bad experience with this kind of product. I ordered a new driver for my wife, assuming the first buyer found the size didn’t work; it was clearly unused and still wrapped in plastic. She took it to the club, went to drive a ball and found the shaft was broken under the rubber grip. Amazon exchanged it without question.

A bunch of gun parts here, and on NCGO, and on MGO...
Then a guy posted that he was selling an old-but-new yhm QD .30 can that has been sitting at his (my old) FFL for a long time. And he was selling it at a good price. So now I guess I've got to facilitate a form 3 and then file a form 4.

What can? How good of a price?

I ask because their brand new stuff is about half the price of some of their old stuff and most of the current offerings by other companies. Might be able to spent about the same thing and get something better.

well... I didn't throw money at him as soon as I saw the deal, but it wasn't so high that I said "for that thing?"
The only regret i'll have about it is when my wife finds out...

Grabbed a used BCM MCMR 10" handguard, unfortunately it's too long to fit my suppressor, so it'll be posted shortly.

Took advantage of Primary Arms' 12% coupon
12" Aero S-One
ETS Shield 12rd mag

5-pack (for $25/shipped) of buffer springs made from chrome silicon spring wire...just to see if this claim is true:
  • Significantly reduces the perceived "twang" noise which is common during firing
Looking forward to trying them in my 9mm ARs, and 300BLK w/ subs.

I found someone to cut the slide on my 229, mount the RDS, install the suppressor height sights and refinish the slide.

I did not expect it to be so hard to find a gunsmith who would do it!

WhooooooHaaaaaa!

Can't wait for the new toy!

I had to leave work today to have some pre-op work done. Afterward, I had some time to kill so, I went pawn shopping. Here is the reason that I'm still working and not retired. I get into trouble when I have idle time.

people always talk about good deals they've found at pawn shops but i believe they are all lies. every time i go to a pawn shop it's $250 hipoints and $600 rusty glocks.

The Bersa was priced $189, I gave $150. There was another one in the same display case and it was priced $299. I just don't understand how they come up with their prices.
The Glock and the Henry were at the same pawn shop. The Glock was priced $399 and the Henry was priced $189. Since I bought both, the Glock was $359 and the Henry was $150. There were other used Glocks in the display case priced at $449-$499.

yeah those are the kind of good prices I never find... the glock isn't a super great deal, but the other two would have had me impulse buying.
Last time I saw something at a reasonable price (and it actually was a hipoint) I said it was a bit more than I wanted to spend for it. The clerk told me they had JUST had a 25% off guns sale... shop manager refused to give ANY discount even though had I been 2 days earlier it would have been automatic and perfectly okay.

I've always wanted one of those little henrys. Years ago I was looking at buying a couple new guns at a terrible shop up by detroit and asked if they gave any discounts for buying 2-3 guns at a time and they just laughed and told me that MAYBE if I was buying a couple of their fns2000, usc, etc guns they MIGHT consider it.

I own one of the Mayodan, NC first production run Ruger American Rimfires. These came with a sticker on the box indicating they came from the first production run, but nothing on the rifle itself. I contacted Ruger, and they do not have anything commemorating the opening of that factory.

I had @DesignMine replicate the box sticker as much as possible without any copyright issues, and I put it on the rifle stock. It had to be small because these stocks have the modular inserts for different cheek heights.

He did his normal fantastic job!

200 rounds of .380 for the Sig, and 200 rounds of .45 for the 1911.
I hope to do matches with both of those guns eventually, and extra practice must begin soon! The one-handed shooting with the .45 is going to be interesting! lol. Haven't tried that in ages.
I look forward to the challenges of those two very different-feeling guns in a competition setting!

You gonna shoot that instead of the 1911?

A.
B.
C.
D. All of the above!

You make it sound like you only shoot one gun at a time. I

Once I get accustomed to using the Red Dot I may expand to get another one. The SA/DA 229s action can be considered similar to a 1911s so adapting won't be all that difficult.

Besides, I can't say which one of my kids I like the most!

Well, just became a Grand Power dealer so naturally that led to a couple Stribogs coming this week and an X-Calibur likely next week.

Because I see things I don’t really need but buy them because you yahoos give me a new idea to focus on. Like now I want a striborg, more stripped lowers, and a Glock 44.

Guess I shouldn't post the Stribog when I get it SBR'd, huh.
