Must be a public range.
I saw no safety issues but LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR...
UM, ticket? Range Officer is LEO?When I used to live in PA and used the public range... the range officer would sit in the woods and wait for a rapid fire person. He then would show up to do a magazine check. You could only have 3 rifle rounds in your magazine. If you had more he would give you a ticket. No AR mag dumps!
In PA the public ranges are ran by the PA game commissionUM, ticket? Range Officer is LEO?
So the RSO isn't a traditional RSO. He's a Twigpig. In PA the public ranges are ran by the PA game commission
Yeah and maybe Range Officer is the wrong term. I should have said game wardenSo the RSO isn't a traditional RSO. He's a Twigpig.
You'd Love it here!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't see One thing he did wrong except choosing where he went to shoot. Just because You don't have the skills that he performed doesn't make him an idiot. If he can stay "on" at that pace he can sure stay on using your chosen pace. One shot on at 1,200 yards is a wonderful skill, but to label a shooter as Lowest common Denominator for showing a useful skill in another environment is another sort of idiocy.I don't want to go to that range.

If he flaunted range rules he should find somewhere else to shoot. Like Here. I am amazed at people that can horrible names to folks that don't fall in what they seem to like. YOU certainly wouldn't like it here. If you are safe and effective you are welcome to show your skills here.
We are sooo lucky here. Every person that comes is aware of the consequences of hi or her actions. That man's mistake was he chose the wrong Place to do that..apparently. Now if he chose to not conform to the rules that everybody were supposed to go by, that just makes him a Jackass of the first order. I can't wait for you to get an opportunity to join us here. You are obviously good at what you do and don't jump off the roof calling names. Believe me, being obnoxious here is as apt to get shown the gate as bad gun handling. That is precisely the issue Billy and I agree wholeheartedly. The problem on a public range (or private for that matter) is the "monkey see, monkey do" dynamic. You let the guy with true skill do something that skirts existing rules, the other whitnesses that do not posess those skills think they can skirt the rules with disastrous outcome.

At my age, banned for life isn’t such a big deal.Only 3 now Banned for life.
Its fun to watch people when they know what they are doing.
Ain't it so!!!???I have been shooting with friends that were into class3 and liked to rapid fire semi autos... pretty neat. Its fun to watch people when they know what they are doing.
Looked like aimed fire to me. What’s the problem?
...TRY to shoot like and send rounds off range.
This is a real issue on an indoor range.
There are some with egos bigger than their abilities. There is a reason some rules exist. Not saying that, with practice, shooters can't meet the challenge. It's just a matter of finding the correct place to practice. Know the rules of the place where you are shooting and you won't be "that guy".

Billy, this is why when we come shoot at Battery Oaks you have to FORCE us to shoot fast. Most of the ranges we shoot at have us neutered. I swear if a mob of Antifa was busting down my door I would shoot 5 times, take a 3 second break and then shoot 5 more.
I don't think anyone was calling the shooter in that vid the 'lowest common denominator'. When *I* used that reference it was in relation to the idiots that come along that CAN'T shoot like that, or worse, TRY to shoot like and send rounds off range.
If your heart is beating 160 times a minute and you've got shit in your shorts...you'll shoot fast. I want you to shoot Good...Clint SmithI swear if a mob of Antifa was busting down my door I would shoot 5 times, take a 3 second break and then shoot 5 more.
When I was using the DNR range around here and I brought an AR-9 that I built and loaded a 30 round magazine then pulled the trigger twice and the magazine was empty. Everybody on the range looked my way. The RO said that there is NO auto fire here. Showed him the gun and that the trigger locked up he could not figure out why it went in auto mode. Was not asked to leave but was told that I could not fire that gun any more.
My new range the only restriction is shooting a 50 BMG. You can do it but the owners want to know when you are shooting it. They want to have some trigger time.
It's true though. I had no idea how fast I could shoot till Billy made me go fast. I was pretty surprised.thats funny! Thanks for the laugh
sounds like a good range Ha Ha.
So the second trigger pull on the AR9 gave you a runaway? Did you keep control of the rifle enough to keep it in the dirt?
