Here we go.... Now there going to be a run on... Oh wait, there have been 3 runs already. There's nothing left to have a run on.

In the wake of two mass shootings in the U.S. in a single week, the White House said Friday that President Biden is prepared to issue executive orders to enact gun reform, circumventing the need for a divided Congress to pass legislation.


White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at a briefing that she couldn’t offer an “exact time frame” on when those orders would move off Biden’s desk, but said they were “one of the levers that we can use ... to help address the prevalence of gun violence and address community safety around the country.”

What part of, "Shall Not Be Infringed" do they not understand? Biden is not the Emperor, award.gif who can so decree whatever he wants without any input from Congress.
 
1: ban on ammo importation
2: ban on semiauto imports
Almost definitely the above as it will technically just be an expansion of the stuff done in the 80s.

3: all semi autos are NFA item
4: all mags over 10 rounds are NFA items
5: ban on braces or more likely just "braces are stocks" now order.

5 is pretty likely.

While he can put about anything in an EO from bans to registration to buyback ... but about the only thing that will not be quickly shot down by the courts is pretty much an importation type thing. The various 2A organizations are ready to jump before the ink is dry ...

We can thank GHWBush for that. All Biden has to do is expand whats already there and been challenged in court. The precedent for eo banning firearm imports was set over 30 years ago by a Republican.

AND Reagan, Ford and Carter had a hand in swinging a couple Representatives with letters they wrote to get the ‘94 AWB passed 216-214 during the Clinton years ... ironically it was a Senate Bill that Feinstein started and The House was then the holdup. Back then before the “House realignment” screwed up the state’s representation numbers and gave basically 5 idiot blue states enough power to control the House in perpetuity ... for now the Senate is our hold out.

Have they not learned from the 18th Amendment? All the 18th did was establish organized crime, increased alcoholism, and didn’t accomplish a single objective of the amendment.

Repeating history, except now we have containers of imports arriving in multiple ports, CNC machining, and 3D printing. If you cant keep 16,000 illegal mi it’s from crossing your border, what’s to stop 16,000 30 rd magazines?

They understand it...they just do not accept it.

See...an armed citizenry, especially one as heavily armed as we have here, is the greatest roadblock to authoritarianism...

They know that and they hate it, but don’t make the mistake of believing that is specific to one party. I submit the vast majority of the hooligans in DC are just itching for complete and total control, no matter which letter follows their name.

No one is coming to save us...we’re on our own.

Their goal is and always will be to get the majority of the citizenry hooked on their "crack" so that they are and become dependent on it! Power is control and getting "them" addicted is in and of itself, control.

It grossly increased federal power, turning the FBI into the horrific Rights-violating entity it is today and setting the pattern for fighting the war in drugs.

Even with the repeal, did federal authority shrink back to its pre-Prohibition levels?

Biden has no clue about what he can or can't do, he wants to regulate or ban plastic parts and there is no requirement to register guns.

Biden also mentioned "these new weapons that are being made by 3D equipment that aren't registered as guns at all. There may be some latitude there as well."

You know, except for the fact that pretty much every agency that has tried to do anything about 3d printing and stl files so far has been flicked on the wiener by the courts.
maybe it's the jumbo pour of cheap bourbon i mixed into this can of coke... but i'm just really tired of these a-holes in government trying everything they can to take away my rights even though they don't have that authority.

Next they will want to ban reloading manuals, require licensing CNC machines along with 3D printers.
 
I am curious to know how they are planning to go about enforcing all these new unconstitutional laws they are planning to pass. Last I heard there were seventy two million gun owners in the United States? Seems to me like a next to impossible endeavor. I wonder if any of the anti gun people/politicians have thought that far ahead? A major malfunction is in the making. This ain't Disneyland.
 
How long will their wait be to get everything registered as NFA?. It takes 8 months to get a new CHP now. They don't have the manpower to register everything that they want to put into NFA, if everyone complies. But I don't see that happening.
 
If the import ban of X and Y is done, all that's going to do is allow Americans to setup more manufacturing here in the states. So I really don't see the downside to a "Ban" of import firearms in the context of the 2ndA and the whole arms industry. The import of firearms goods will have a HELL of a impact on a lot of stuff. From cleaning kits, slings, plastics, etc. The demand is still real, the only thing that changes is the MADE IN THE USA over MADE IN CHINA

Now, don't get me wrong, I hope it never happens on a principle of rights level.

Hell I know of one person I have talked too in the last 30 days who is thinking of starting a powder manufacturing company, not in NC but still here in the US. Secondly, I talked to two other people thinking of buying wire twist machines for manufacturing bore brushes and mops. "most of that stuff is from china now"

I’m all for freedom of the press to engage in journalism...an unobjective reporting of the facts/truth, but that ship left port a long time ago. Now, we have Goebbels news outlets, controlled by the state, who push narratives to accomplish an agenda.

They should be lined up against a wall.
 
I don’t care anymore,, been hearing this shit for 40yrs. I don’t get worked up anymore. If they did try to take them 95% of people would give them up without a word. I’m getting old, it they are finally going to do it,, let’s get it over with.
