To all the lovers out there.

It’ll be 27 years in November.

The past year further solidified that I got the right one.

I typically don’t get into matters of faith outside of “The Chapel”…not because I’m ashamed of my faith or beliefs, but out of respect for others on here who may not believe the same way, but in this case, I will, because it ties in directly to how I feel about this woman.

Before I was even born, God knew everything I would have to face and endure in life. He knew I needed rescuing…so He sent her my way.

Last year, when I was in the worst physical shape than any other time in my adult life…she was there. Every time I had to go to Davis, sit there for 3 hours and have the chemo put in my veins, she was there beside me. When I was at my weakest, she was right there and I won’t ever forget it.

Some folks never get a chance to meet their hero…

Well, I married mine.

I always thought it would make sense to marry a woman who was born on Valentine's Day on Valentine's Day. It would make things a lot easier. But the older you get, and get into the "Special Events" club, the pressure of the day would probably be too much to bear.

My mother in law, may she rest peacefully, had a birthday on 2/10. She only ever wanted flowers as a gift, and it just so happened to be right on top of the busiest and most expensive time of the year to buy/send flowers. Then, four days later, more flowers expected. She was in heaven with so many flowers in the house for a week or two, but everybody else had a hard time appreciating the endless blooms that we just dropped a bunch of cash for. It's funny, her parents named her Violet.
