Tractor was delivered today, for a 20hp it sure has plenty of power. Cut through 4-5' tall crap without batting an eye. Can't wait to get the loader on it.
Pics or it didn't happen!! Lol

You're going to find so many excuses, er, ah, REASONS to use it. BTW: Orange = no good, red better...

My buddy has a mahindra, great machines. No dealers around here though:( would have had to drive down to denver to go that route.

And it took a little convincing, but I got the wife on board. We need to landscape 1/2 an acre, mowe, snow removal, etc

So it will be a good all around piece of equipment

@rdinatal @Diablos
How about one of yall bring that thing up for a quick project of leveling out a place in my front yard lol
Got a little mound in the front yard that is a pain when mowing

I just spooned on 2 new Michelin's on my bicycle. Getting 4 more next Tuesday on the car.

Bit of a drive from the black hills, but if I was closer I come tear it up
SD?

Been to Sturgis a few times...man, what a beautiful area out there!

Oh, and to stay on topic: spent time in the garage last night - got back to tinkering with the SAK project that I started a long time ago. Finally figured out which backsprings went with which tools etc and started reassembly.
Today I will take one of the old pins to the local hardware store to see if they have any brass pins or rods that are the same size. Then I'll try to repeen in with, well, no 'right' tools for the job.
But this is just a trial run to make something that is knifeless and would be ok on school grounds - just screwdrivers, awl, holding hook, and scissors.

Next I'll try to start working on scales for it, might try my hand at cutting them out of wood and staining. Finding a thin piece, maybe balsa for its availability and price, and just trying.
Worst case scenario is that I waste some wood in my trying or ruin a tool that I paid almost nothing for that already had plenty of flaws (factory scales were scratched up, knife blade was broken off)

Also, took my dremel tool with a grinding wheel and tried to 'round off' the tip of the broken knife blade. Again, just to see how the process was. Will probably never use that blade, but it was broken - why not experiment on it?

I needed to add another LED light in my garage, specifically over my workbench since the double tube 48" Utilitech Pro (Lowes) is behind me when at the bench, creating shadows. I tried a single 48" from Lowes, similar to my other, but the lack of a deflector meant too much light was going up to the ceiling and on the wall.

I grabbed a double tube 48" off Amazon for $33 that has a deflector and pull chain switch so I can turn it on only when needed. The pics suck because it's a 3700lm 5k light but you get the idea, it's bright!

So this happened while I was driving Friday. It was changed 3K miles ago. 98 Honda J30A1 V6 with 280-ish thou on the clock. Ran like a champ before it stopped. Threw a crank sensor code afterward so pretty sure it was out of time. Belt didnt completely brake but both heads were out of time when we got it home

Ordered a Hondq belt, tensioner tool (was thrown away) and most importantly, a cam belt guide washer that WAS LEFT OFF.

Seems my son and BIL didnt put that $3 washer on and it rubbed cover until it separated. This is why i dont let other ppl work on my shit [emoji21]

Common rookie mistake. I see that done way to often when people try and do timing belts for the first time. They either leave it off or install it wrong. People also like to change just the belt and get bent when the seals, tensioner or water pump go out a couple of weeks later. The story usually goes something like another shop did my timing belt a few weeks ago and now this whatever broke. So we will go in their trunk trying to find a wheel lock key and there will be the empty belt box or reciept from the parts store showing they screwed it up. Good luck with it.

We put another belt and guide washer on her, and fired it up. It ran like normal, so went ahead and buttoned it all up. Also threw a new power steering and serpentine on there since they had some age on em. Changed oil since we were right there also.

Test drive by my 16 yr old revealed all 200 HP were apparently still present, so Im gonna call it fixed. No parts left over.

Moral of the story is dont let anyone else touch your car if you can do it yourself and there are 2 other young males to help.

Having just gotten my wisdom teeth removed the other day, my garage projects have been on hold.

I did get out and there and swapped my miter saw blade. I got a couple 10" 40T Diablo blades for my miter saw and table saw. The stock 24T blades were simply not clean enough for cutting birch ply and finish cuts.

Wtf man? If there's anything I've learned working on cars it's that you should ALWAYS have at least a bolt or two left over. Jeez, freakin amateurs.
Ok if you must have the truth....we lost a bolt on the side engine mount, so I got one out of my spare bolt stash. When we came from the test drive, we found it laying on the driveway....so technically yes there was an extra part left over...

All is well in the world now. The tear in the space-time continuum is averted...

My neighbor is a wise guy sometimes, I let him use all my tools to fix his cars and also give him how to info.

When I did my head gaskets on my '99 Taurus wagon, I had one cadmium plated metric bolt leftover,
they type used on imports, it did not come from my car, he placed in in the tray when I was inside,
then proceeded to give me a hard time about having a bolt leftover. Called his bluff, showed him the
video of him putting it in the tray, he had no idea I have camera in my garage. No tool privileges for a month.

How about sh#t I've done ~for~ the garage? The shop floods during a hard rain leaving it unusable. Started a big drainage project. Been stockpiling supplies, finally rented a mini-ex and got busy. Did the house downspouts while I was at it. Plumbing continues.

Where the front of the house converges with the back of the house, then onward to the drainage ditch.

Installed an Android 6.0 based double DIN stereo in my SD. Sounds soooo much better than the factory unit and touch screen operation and phone mirroring make it awesome.
Pics!!! I watched a video on Android double din units and it looked pretty awesome. Guy got a sim card and had data.....Kodi...Maps...Internet

I will take a few tomorrow. It's a Chinese unit I got for $175 but they have great feedback on Ebay and a good warranty. It came with a back up camera I plan to install tomorrow. It switches automatically to that view when I put the truck in reverse. I was listening to some Pretty Reckless in it earlier and with the EQ set on "rock" it simply kills it! The factory speakers sound fantastic with so many watts.

I used a Metra Ford double DIN kit, you have to cut the lips out of the dash bezel where the factory stereo was. I used a Metra wiring harness too and installed a USB/3.5 jack in the dash next to my 4x4 switch that connects to the new unit. It allows phone charging and data transfer via USB and if I need to, old school 3.5 headphone jack for some older iPod or something.

Pretty happy with it, I know the back up cam will sure help with lining up trailer hitches solo. Streaming music is cool and I can use the units built in Navigation or use my phone with Google Nav. A Kenwood or Pioneer that mirrors was 3-4 times the money, as much of a radio snob I have become with ham stuff, I just cannot see the difference with car stereo. The Chinese are winning....

began drain-flushing the auto trans on the 98 J30A Accord. Drain 2 QTS, drive a little, drain 2 more, rinse repeat. Funny that Honda DW-1 fluid is $10 a qt, Castrol import is $5 and looks, smells, and pours like the same darn thing.
Either way, after the flush and fills are done, it's gonna get 10oz of lubegard and perhaps a bar and plate type cooler. Trans has 60-80K miles since last rebuilt, there's not gonna be another rebuild....

Nice!! I have a JVC DVD double din in the Escape. It's ok. I liked my Pioneer DVD in Dirtyscrew better...

I really like how you added the Ford logo!
