This is a bit rhetorical but lets just say that the Dems ram through the AWB in the Senate and it becomes law. How many of you would continue owning and shooting firearms at the level you do today without having a semi-auto high capacity firearm? Sure, many will say that they will never take them and so forth but over time most will be get tired of having a "felony conviction" sitting in the back of the closet or in the safe. And you sure will not take it out for someone to see, that's for sure! Even on this site I would say that 75% of the firearms that are discussed or bought and sold are high capacity semi-auto rifles and pistols. Would you switch to bolt guns or shotguns, or even handguns that have less than 10 round capacities as your primary firearm for home defense or recreation shooting? Or would you just quit and walk away?

Figured I would blow some skirts up on this one. :D

I was just thinking how this site would be without anyone posting threads about shooting AR's, working on one, or even posting one for sale? Think about it? I know guys that basically own nothing but AR's and AK's!

Stop it. You are making me cry. 😢

Look at what Canada just did today with adding all center fire high capacity and center fire rifles toto the pistol ban bill they’re passing. This isn’t far out in left field. The US follows Canada lol.

Not saying there are those who wouldn’t try, but we have two things that Canada doesn’t…
The 2nd amendment and 350 million privately owned firearms.

THEN it would be an insurrection. January 6 wasn’t crap! It scared them, as they could get a glimpse into the future. The next time the people of this country comes after the rulers, it will be armed and with tar, feathers and rope.

I imagine some folks would just keep their safes shut until the next election when the majority changed hands and the law gets repealed? One could hope can’t they 😜 some years folks will be felons, others law abiding citizens lol

Let’s say I will only shoot my personal defense rifle using low capacity magazines.

Isn't every rifle an assault rifle, if you can make it function in a fast enough action? Think about it lever action ? Bolt action with a box magazine ? What I'm saying is it doesn't have to be a semi auto action to be an assault rifle.

heh heh, you funny. who's going to repeal what now? when the other dbags get in power they quickly line their pockets with cash and focus on themselves before they get ousted the next cycle. undoing the wrongs isn't a priority.

I seriously doubt they'll come a knocking on the door for them. Keeping them locked in a safe until another administration is in doesn't work to well either if you did paperwork to buy them. It's been reported many places the the ATF rat bastards have been keeping the whose naughty list for a LONG TIME. Pay attention to the push to go to digital currency and think of how easy it will be for them to simply cut off you money - and even now they can shut you out of your bank accounts. We are dealing with true evil.

No, it's the same thing that DID happen in 1996, and the result would be the same except:

A) 'Grandfathering' wouldn't happen.
B) The number of 'evil features' would be reduced to 'one' (plus detachable mag)

20% of the population of the US already lives under rules this (or more) restrictive. So if folks think there would be any result other than "compliance" coupled with "mass non-compliance, but keep it hidden"... they are wrong. As proven by 1996 and the current situation for 20% of Americans.

Agreed, but here we are. Participating.
There are those of us prepared to hold the line and as in 1776 and everything since then , everything starts with one.

With each "massacre", the RINO strength grows. Get enough and this passes the Senate. We're only a few short at this point.

If it does pass, nothing really changes for me. I keep shooting what I shoot. I just can't buy any new ones. It's all the new people that want to buy that will be affected. Kind of like what's coming for Oregon. If it progresses from there? Well, how many cops will be brave enough to go knocking on doors for "confiscation"?

I hope it doesn't come to that, but we're always just a few steps away. Each time a crazy leftist kills a bunch of people is one step we're closer to it.

And it never came.

Won’t this time either.

I do appreciate your frankness here on this forum, though. You express the things most folks wouldn’t.
It’s coming , as history shows so it’s not if but when that is the question. It took 6 years from the Boston massacre to the start of the revolution.

It might have been a topic for discussion if you had posed a question related to the actual bills introduced in the House or Senate; as it is, your question related to an undefined scenario is meaningless.
