Great find. Wish I could get so lucky.

Surprisingly I had trouble finding this staple locally in Charlotte ABC stores, @amnesia was kind enough to see one and grab it for me

Also got a new jigger with more measurement markings for my wife who has been making increasingly complicated mixed drinks lately

What liquor store would you recommend heading south on 17 from wilmington nc

Man I need to have you send some to me in the mail we can not get anything special other than small batch

When stocking the new liquor cabinet I realized our vodka shelf was pretty light. Did some research for next time I drove past ABC on good options for vodka to drink straight.


Local ABC store had a surprisingly good vodka selection so bought 3 rated from the lists, and the Chopin did so well in the rankings on many lists I went for the bigger bottle which was significantly cheaper per ML.



Of course once home I find out that big bottle doesn’t quite fit in the tall shelves of the new cabinet 😣 🦒

Bought a 1.75 of Myers Rum and 2 4-packs of Ginger Beer to make some Jamaican Mules and 1 bottle of Yellowstone bourbon to take over to some non-serious bourbon drinkers. They just want something to have shots with.

Trip to Atlanta last weekend and grabbed a vodka that my local Charlotte abc never seems to have in stock (they have a semi permanent “we are out of this product” sign on the shelf) plus some Georgia beer my wife’s really likes.

Burned some time at abc today while waiting for an appointment next door. Barrel pick rebel is out plus had a sale on bulleit rye. Starting to run low on gunpowder gin which gets used a lot in mixed drinks around here lately

Decided to try a bonded Old Grandad. It's surprisingly good for a $30 bottle. Would buy again. Thanks to whoever it was on here that suggested it.

I stopped by Habersham early last week and was offered the last bottle. I have not cracked mine yet (got 2 other OFSPs open and they are great). A friend opened his and said it was over 80% gone when I asked him if it was any good. Yes, I should have bought thT last bottle.

Replaced last weekend‘s consumed mixer liquor contents

A couple of weeks ago, i stopped by Largo and they had Plantation XO for $52.99. I ended up getting 2 of the 3 bottles they had on the shelf. Most of the time I find the Plantation XO to be between 58 to 60 dollars a bottle. So, when I was driving by Largo today, I stopped to see if they still had the last bottle. Well, they did have one more bottle until I left the store.

I picked up these 2 store picks.

A couple of bottles. The Benchmark ain’t bad mixed and is a good price.

Nothing today. It is only 11:00 😁, but yesterday I got this store pick.

Good stuff. My only bottle is just above the “private barrel” part of the label. Would love to find another one. Picked up a couple things from the Pittsboro ABC today but nothing too exciting. Sazarac etc. my wife and I enjoy the Sazarac mixed with some Ale 8.

Sazerac makes a great Old Fashioned

Definitely will try that. Enjoy the Elijah it’s a little hot over ice but when it opens up it it’s great. Cheers!

Indian Trail ABC had a pick of this out last weekend, if anybody is looking. If you go to Heaven Hill Distillery and do their "Bottle Your Own" tour, this is one of the products you can choose to dump your own private label bottle.

I got so sick off of Henry McKenna during my Senior Prom in 1978. I threw up all over my rented tux, my brand new Ford truck, and my date. To this day, it makes my stomach queasy! I had a dark green Ford F-100 stepside that a buddy of mine drove home and parked in the sun…with the windows up…on a hot day in May. My brother went and pick it up and almost puked himself! 🤢🤮😝 And not just anyone can pull off those socks! 🤣

You’re just jealous! 😝 I wish I had that truck back! The tailgate on my 2017 F-350 cost more than this truck! Tailgate was $6800 to replace, the 1978 was $4700, new!

A friend called me and ask if I was looking for a Russell Reserve 13 and I could not get hell yes out fast enough. He was able to get a bottle from the Class 6 store on post.

I went to get some simple syrup and found this. I think that I have the 2020,21 and 22 editions. Really did not want to buy anything else this week but not sure if I would be able to find this year again.

If you are ever in Pittsburgh go check his place out! We sampled a few and man o man! I knew I wanted this before going.

I just ordered a six pack of this from Ultra Right Beer Co.

They quit taking orders for it at midnight tonight. I just bought it for the collector aspect. I won’t drink it.

30 - 45 days is the expected ETA.
