Your latest alcohol purchase

Trip to Florida to visit my sister. Stopped at Costco, Total Wine and a local recommended store to stock up on cheaper regular bottles and some things we can’t or can’t often find around here.

Cigar City Bewery makes some very good craft beers. My first sample was in Clearwater Beach. The website shows 16 local places in my county to purchase. They once made a oatmeal raisin dark beer that was the best I ever had. it's not on the website.

Heaven’s Door was on sale and a friend wanted some Buffalo Trace (he got 2, I got 2, we share the flat shipping fee). Also got one of the Stapleton / Buffalo Trace Traveler bottles to try.

I was in the Morrocroft/Southpark ABC in Charlotte yesterday. They have plenty of Heaven's Door on the shelf, and HAD one bottle of Buffalo Trace behind the counter. Their "American Whisky' section is an entire long wall of the shop. They have a LOT of labels to choose from.

Missed a phone call yesterday to get a bottle Woodford Masters Distilled and glad I did. That bottle is $40 more this year over the past 3 years. When I went to talk to my friend who I missed the call from he said that they just got in a couple bottles on New Riff (just available in GA within the past couple of months) and picked up a Single barrel.

Not sure if this bends the rules but making a run to GA next week.. Weller SR is $49.99 plus tax per 750ml.. happy to pick up for anyone.. pretty much as much as anyone could want. They stock, WSR , BT and ER always

Where at in GA ?

A friend brought this back from South FL for me. I heard nothing but good about this distillery and I love a wheat bourbon.

on note above...
stopped in lexington store at 145 to check on any BT, clerk indicated no 'not now'
but informed me of Bourbon Drop at 5pm line forms at 4:30
I have banker's hours,
but arrived at 520 was last in line behind about 10 folks
No 'ticket' needed then but ticket made the line earlier.

one bottle limit on allocated stock.... but you could get back in line
There was a cart in back with about 4 cases of BT and some E Craig and angels envy, larceny and some others

Most were pulling from the BT cases
Got one walked to car outside door and no line, so went back for round two... :)

saw one of these in lexington store next to register at bourbon drop this afternoon 5pm
saw a fellow pick it up and put down a buffalo trace until clerk told him the price .....($212 i think i heard) He settled on a fifth of BT
Likely right.. it was 199.95 before tax..

Someone may have already posted about this beer, and if so, my apologies.

My son bought a four pack of this beer at Lowe’s Foods today. It is very smooth and has an incredible taste that I can’t really describe.

It’s a German beer but it is very smooth unlike many European beers.

I highly recommend this beer.

Just bought some Fighting 69th Irish Whisky. Very nice drink, smooth, some caramel notes, just plain good. I’ve been a long time scotch drinker but will keep a bottle of Fighting 69th in my cabinet from now own.

I went to the store yesterday and bought myself a bottle of Tullanore Dew(I happen to like it) Ada bottle of Crown Royal Peach, that my mother likes. It was a winner in terms of keeping her narcissistic mouth shut.

I really like the WSR.. but I’ve never tried the 107
WSR is okay, but its MSRP is only $25 for a reason. It is a bottom shelf wheater about like the basic Maker's Mark. That is why we (my drinking buddies and I) jokingly call it "trash Weller". I usually pass on it altogether, but occasionally pick up a bottle out of state just to have the label on the bar. The 107 is a LOT better to me, but unfortunately, it gets sniped and hoarded by the folks with the local ABC connections - same with Weller Full Proof and Weller 12. I actually like the Weller 107 more than Weller Full Proof, but the Weller 12 is amazing.

As you can tell from my past post, I am a fan of Haven's Door bourbons. I have had a 10- and 14-year-old for a couple of years that I have not opened. Today while driving around town, I found a bottle of 10 year old for 99.99 which was too much. Right down the road, I found one for 79 and it came home with me. Can not wait to crack it.

Well what do know…

Ordered early November and while browsing the shelves the manager came out with a big smile and said I’ve got something for you. Honestly it had been so long I’d written it off and assumed he had some Blantons for me.

I'm so sorry for the delay. Please know it wasn't on our end. We filled the orders as soon as they came in. My only guess is the warehouse took a while to figure out inventory and distribution. Thank you for supporting us. I hope you love it! Pm me your address, I'll make sure we get a shirt to you as an apology. Again im very very sorry for the inconvenience.

I am 100% sure it wasn’t on you, but I’ll wear a shirt proudly!

I opened up the box and checked it out with the manager. Told him that I thought it should become more readily available soon and that he should bring it in whenever he could.
