Anyone using the Kit Bags? I've had the Heavy Recon for a while now but just got a chance to use it for the first time this past week. Took the kids (and wife) up to price park to let them get a little exercise in the woods. We only did around two miles, but the girls are 5 and 3, so that was plenty for one trip.
I really enjoyed being able to carry the bag. It was very comfortable and allowed me to carry my CZ P-01 in an easily accessible pocket right up on my chest. I was using a Maxpedition Sneak Universal Holster. It has an additional pocket for odds and ends which let me empty my pockets and kept everything right where I needed it. The straps on it are also thin enough that you can carry a pack over them. I was carrying the HPG Umlindi for our jackets, first aid kit, and water.
All in all, it was a great set up and I would recommend you try their gear. I really like their simple yet bullet proof approach to gear design with a minimal amount of zippers and pockets.
And now a few pics!
